ABSTRACT: Emerging studies demonstrate the ability of microRNAs (miRNAs) to activate genes via different mechanisms. Specifically, miRNAs may trigger an enhancer promoting chromatin remodelling in the enhancer region, thus activating the enhancer and its target genes.
