Herein, we report a new metal-organic framework (MOF)-based composite beads adsorbent made via incorporating UiO-66 MOF, carboxylated graphene oxide (GOCOOH) into sodium alginate for efficient removal of methylene blue dye, and Cu<sup>2+</sup> ions.
