Draft Genome Sequence and Annotation of Acinetobacter soli AS15, Isolated from an Irish Hospital.

ABSTRACT: We report the draft genome sequence of Acinetobacter soli AS15, which was isolated in 2018 from a rectal screen of a patient at St. Vincent's University Hospital (Dublin, Ireland). The draft genome sequence is 3,589,002 bp and was assembled into 82 contigs.

AC1511 was assembled into 43 contigs with a total genome size of 3,320,693 bp, whereas AC15148 was 3,260,687 bp over 47 contigs.

Draft Genome Sequence of a Multidrug-Resistant bla NDM-1-Producing Acinetobacter soli Isolate in China.

Project description:Acinetobacter spp. are one of the most prevalent opportunistic pathogens causing nosocomial infections and have become a major clinical and public health threat. In this study, we presented the first draft genome sequence of A. soli TCM341, a multidrug resistant isolate that carried the bla NDM-1 gene in China. Genome sequencing of A. soli TCM341 was carried out in Illumina Hiseq 2000 next-generation sequencer. The data obtained revealed 74 contigs with genome size of 3.49 Mb and G+C content of 41.37 %.

Project description:Enterobacter soli is a Gram-negative rod characterized by its motile, non-spore-forming, and facultatively anaerobic nature. In this study, strain 140044, identified as Enterobacter soli, was isolated from human blood. The strain was sequenced, revealing a 5.37-Mb draft genome harboring the carbapenemase gene bla IMP-4.

Project description:We report here the draft genome sequence of Acinetobacter sp. Strain V2 isolated from the oil contaminated soil collected from ENGEN, Amanzimtoti, South Africa. Degradation of phenolic compounds such as phenol, toluene, aniline etc. at 400ppm in 24h and oil degrading capability makes this organism an efficient multifunctional bioremediator. Genome sequencing of Acinetobacter spp. V2 was carried out on Illumina HiSeq 2000 platform (performed by the Beijing Genomics Institute [BGI], Shenzhen, China). The data obtained revealed 643 contigs with genome size of 4.0 Mb and G+C content of 38.59%.
