ABSTRACT: Oxazolinyl- and arylchalcogenazolyl-substituted hydroxyfluorenes exhibiting excited-state intramolecular proton transfer (ESIPT) are described as potent and highly modular luminophores. Emission color tuning was achieved by varying the π-expansion and the insertion of different chalcogen atoms.
