Purple acid phosphatase (<i>PAP</i>) plays a vital role in plant phosphate acquisition and utilization, as well as cell wall synthesis and redox reactions. In this study, comprehensive comparative analyses of <i>PAP</i> genes were carried out using the integration of phylogeny, chromosomal localization, intron/exon structural characteristics, and expression profiling.
