Breast ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS) is clinically challenging, featuring high diagnosis rates and few targeted therapies. Expression/signaling from junctional adhesion molecule-A (JAM-A) has been linked to poor prognosis in invasive breast cancers, but its role in DCIS is unknown.
