Exposure to ozone and fine particle (PM<sub>2.5</sub>) air pollution results in premature death. These pollutants are predominantly secondary in nature and can form from nitrogen oxides (NO<sub>X</sub>), sulfur oxides (SO<sub>X</sub>), and volatile organic compounds (VOCs).
