High-fat diets have been associated with lower gut and fecal abundances of genus <i>Bifidobacterium</i>. Here, we investigated whether commonly consumed dietary free fatty acids have any detrimental effect on the growth of <i>B. adolescentis</i>, <i>B. bifidum</i>, and <i>B. longum</i>.
