A novel and accurate analytical method for the determination of tolfenpyrad in four leafy green vegetables, <i>Brassica bara</i> L., <i>Spinacia oleracea</i> L., <i>Lactuca sativa</i> L. and <i>Brassica chinensis</i> L., was developed and applied to investigate the residue distribution and dietary risk under greenhouse conditions.
