A UV curable ladder-like diphenylsiloxane-bridged methacryl-phenyl-siloxane (L-MPS) was synthesized from phenyltrichlorosilane, diphenylsilanediol and methacryloxypropyldimethylmethoxysilane <i>via</i> dehydrochlorination precoupling, supramolecular architecture-directed hydrolysis-condensation and end-capping reactions.
