Transition metal-substituted polyoxometalates (POMs) were filled into a metal-organic framework (MOF) to construct a series of POM@MOF composites (PMo<sub>12</sub>O<sub>40</sub>@MIL-101, PMo<sub>11</sub>VO<sub>40</sub>@MIL-101, PMo<sub>10</sub>V<sub>2</sub>O<sub>40</sub>@MIL-101).
