Current trends and research topics regarding liver 3D bioprinting: A bibliometric analysis research.

ABSTRACT: Introduction: Over recent years, 3D bioprinting has changed dramatically. The articles related to liver 3D bioprinting have not been quantitatively analyzed. In this article, we screen all articles related to liver 3D bioprinting until January 2022 and analyzed them using bibliometric citation analysis to characterize the current trends in liver 3D bioprinting. Methods: The articles were identified and analyzed from the Clarivate Analytics Web of Science Core Collection database. Results: Until 1 January 2022, 71 articles focusing on liver 3D bioprinting were identified. There was an increase in the number of articles in 2015. Most articles came from the USA (n = 27), followed by South Korea (n = 22), China (n = 16), and Japan (n = 5). The printing technology of liver 3D printing was the most studied topic (n = 29). Biofabrication published the highest number of papers (n = 16) with 1,524 total citations. Conclusion: Based on bibliometric analysis of the articles until January 2022, a comprehensive analysis of the liver 3D bioprinting articles highlighted the current trends and research topics of this field. The data should provide clinicians and researchers insight into future directions relative to the liver 3D bioprinting.

Project description:BackgroundCDK7 has been demonstrated to play a crucial role in the initiation and progression of malignancy. Therefore, targeting CDK7, which regulates the transcription process, has emerged as a new promising approach for treating cancer. Research on CDK7 inhibitors has significantly increased over the past 2 decades, with almost 600 related papers in the Web of Science Core Collection database. To effectively identify future research hotspots and potential future directions, it is crucial to systematically review and visually present the research on this topic from a comprehensive viewpoint, ensuring scientific reliability.MethodsThis study performed bibliometric analysis via CiteSpace and VOSviewer scientometrics analysis software to examine data on the publication of articles on CDK7 inhibitors over the past 2 decades; the data included country of publication, author names, institution names, scientific categories, cited journals, and keywords related to the field of CDK7 inhibitors.ResultsThis bibliometric analysis included 426 publications from 41 different nations, referencing a total of 15,892 sources. Research associated with CDK7 inhibitors has rapidly expanded since 2016, and the US and China are the two countries with the highest publication output among the countries and institutes that produce literature on CDK7 inhibitors. Furthermore, the US is the country that most frequently engages in international cooperation. The evolution of keywords identifying antitumor strategies related to CDK7-mediated cellular transcription processes has been the research focus in recent years.ConclusionIn this study, we identified research efforts and their evolving patterns and predicted advances in the CDK7 inhibitor field. The knowledge structure of CDK7 inhibitors encompasses pharmacological mechanisms, therapeutic targets, and cancer treatment strategies. The primary objectives of contemporary research are to discover the processes underlying cancer progression, identify specific signaling pathways, and develop effective clinical medicines.

Project description:BackgroundEndometriosis is a common gynecological disorder, with rising incidence rates and a decreasing age of onset, significantly affecting patients' quality of life and overall health. Urinary tract endometriosis (UTE) is a rare and invasive form of endometriosis that often leads to urinary obstruction and can even result in renal failure. The clinical significance of diagnosing and treating UTE is increasingly recognized. However, there is currently a lack of systematic bibliometric analysis to provide an overview of this field. The purpose of this study is to comprehensively summarize the research status in this field over the past 30 years and predict future development trends to address diagnostic and therapeutic challenges.MethodsA comprehensive analysis was conducted on literature related to UTE published in the Web of Science Core Collection from 1995 to 2024. Research trends in this field were thoroughly analyzed and visualized using VOSviewer, CiteSpace, and the Bibliometrix R package.ResultsA total of 361 publications were analyzed, sourced from 122 journals, authored by 1,699 scholars affiliated with 610 institutions across 48 countries. Notably, Charles Chapron, Pietro Santulli, and Bruno Borghese from France led in publication volume. The University of Paris emerged as a prominent institution in this research area. Co-occurrence and co-citation analyses indicated that Charles Chapron holds the top position among global authors, demonstrating significant influence in the field. Future key research directions include studying the pathogenesis of the disease, conducting epidemiological studies, and developing comprehensive management strategies, with particular emphasis on renal and urethral endometriosis.ConclusionsThis study represents the first bibliometric analysis of UTE, summarizing its key values and emerging trends. The treatment approach for UTE has undergone significant changes due to ongoing research, shifting from surgical interventions to integrated management strategies. This evolution encompasses early diagnosis, treatment options, preoperative assessment and preparation, and long-term postoperative follow-up. The importance of enhanced collaboration among specialists in urology, gynecology, and other multidisciplinary areas is emphasized to promote effective diagnosis and treatment of UTE.

Project description:BackgroundAs one of the most common complications of stroke, post-stroke pneumonia significantly increases the incidence of adverse outcomes, mortality, and healthcare costs for patients with stroke. As the field of post-stroke pneumonia has gained interest in the recent years, there has been an increasing number of publications on post-stroke pneumonia research worldwide. Therefore, a more comprehensive understanding of the field is needed now. This paper is intended to analyze the research status and detect the research frontiers in this field.MethodsVOS viewer, CiteSpace, and the online scientometric platform (https://bibliometric.com/) were the main visualization tools used in this paper. They were used to perform citation analysis of countries/institutions, co-citation analysis of authors/journals/references, co-authorship analysis of authors, co-occurrence analysis of keywords, and citation bursts analysis of references.ResultsThe number of publications in this field has increased rapidly since 2010 and is expected to continue to increase in the next few years. The countries contributing most to post-stroke pneumonia research were the USA, China, and Germany. The most productive institution was Harvard University, followed by Humboldt University of Berlin, Charité Universitätsmedizin Berlin, and Free University of Berlin from Germany. Meanwhile, the German authors Meisel A, Meisel C, and Dirnagl U, who have contributed significantly to this field, were all associated with these three German institutions. The high-quality and high output journal was STROKE. In the coming years, the hot topic keywords "risk & risk-factors," "outcome & impact," "management & guidelines," and "predictors" will gain more attention in this field. Finally, hot keywords were grouped into four clusters in this paper: cluster 1 (risk-factors studies of post-stroke pneumonia), cluster 2 (clinically relevant studies of post-stroke pneumonia), cluster 3 (mechanism studies of post-stroke pneumonia), and cluster 4 (care studies of post-stroke pneumonia).ConclusionThis study shows the knowledge structure and evolution of the field of post-stroke pneumonia research and predicts research trends through visualization analysis. The future trend of post-stroke pneumonia research will gradually shift from clinical and mechanistic studies to treatment and prevention studies.
