Two forms of hydrophobic vitamin E (VE), α-tocopherol (Toc) and α-tocotrienol (Toc3), have been proposed to be effective against Alzheimer's disease (AD), the etiology of which is thought to involve endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress.
