Patients with HIV exhibit platelet activation and increased risk of cardiovascular disease, the prevention of which is not fully known. Fifty-five HIV-positive patients were randomized to clopidogrel, aspirin, or no-treatment for 14 days, and the platelet phenotype and ability to induce endothelial inflammation assessed.
