Spot blotch is a highly destructive disease in wheat caused by the fungal pathogen <i>Bipolaris sorokiniana</i> (teleomorph, <i>Cochliobolus sativus</i>). It is prevalent in warm and humid areas, including Africa, Asia, Latin America, and the USA.
