Management and Clinical Outcomes for Patients with Gastrointestinal Bleeding who Decline Transfusion


ABSTRACT: Patients with gastrointestinal bleeding experience significant, sometimes fatal, blood loss. Traditional treatment involves allogeneic blood transfusions; however, some patients decline transfusions. This case series describes effective techniques that can be used to manage such patients.
