Oro-gustatory perception of dietary lipids and its physiological implication in the nutritionally obesity-prone pygmy mouse Mus booduga
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: In this study, we report that the obesity in M. booduga is associated with compromised oro-gustatory perception of dietary fat and Ca2+ signaling in circumvallate papillae, which are linked with altered expression of both CD36 and GPR120. Hence we conclude that the dietary regime modification induced overweight and obesity developement could modify the fat taste thresholds and alter the mechanisms involved in dietary fat preference and its physiological implication in the Mus booduga.
