Individual stability, low population diversity and evidence of sex differences in whistles from Indian Ocean bottlenose dolphins (T. aduncus) in Mozambique.


ABSTRACT: This study provides the first acoustic study of this species carried out from Mozambique. The manuscript focuses on temporal stability of whistles from individual dolphins, as well as inter-individual distinctiveness, which are both defining characteristics of signature whistles.
