ABSTRACT: 1. Pepsins C and D and probably pepsin B as well as the major enzyme pepsin have been detected on starch-gel electrophoretograms of concentrates of the gastric contents of four pigs. 2. The presence of pepsin B is further indicated by a high ratio of peptidase activity to haemoglobin-digesting activity after treatment at pH6.9.
