We have identified Rabconnectin-3alpha and beta (Rbcn-3A and B) as two regulators of Notch signaling in Drosophila. We found that, in addition to disrupting Notch signaling, mutations in Rbcn-3A and B cause defects in endocytic trafficking, where Notch and other membrane proteins accumulate in late endosomal compartments.
