N'-[1-(4-Methoxy-phen-yl)ethyl-idene]acetohydrazide.

ABSTRACT: The title compound, C(11)H(14)N(2)O(2), was prepared by the reaction of acetohydrazide and 1-(4-methoxy-phen-yl)ethanone. In the mol-ecule, all bond lengths and angles are within normal ranges. In the crystal structure, adjacent mol-ecules are linked into a centrosymmetric dimer by inter-molecular N-H?O hydrogen bonding.
