ABSTRACT: In the crystal structure of the title compound, C(14)H(14)F(3)O(7)P, the central chain, which connects the phosphate bicyclic system and the benzene ring, is made up of an approximately planar C-C(O)-O-C(H(2)) fragment and a C(H(2))-O-C(Ph) link; the mean planes make a dihedral angle of 75.9?(2)°. The F atoms are disordered over two positions; the site occupancy factors are ca 0.6 and 0.4.

Project description:In the title compound, C(23)H(17)F(3)N(2)O(3), an intra-molecular C-H⋯F hydrogen bond generates an S(6) ring motif. The essentially planar 1H-benzimidazole ring system [maximum deviation = 0.021 (2) Å] forms dihedral angles of 25.00 (10) and 62.53 (11)° with the trifluoro-meth-oxy-substituted benzene and phenyl rings, respectively. The twist of the ethyl acetate group from the least-squares plane of the 1H-benzimidazole ring system is defined by a C(=O)-O-C-C torsion angle of 79.5 (3)°. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked into a two-dimensional network parallel to the bc plane by weak C-H⋯N and C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds. Weak C-H⋯π inter-actions also observed.
