ABSTRACT: In the cation of the title compound, C(18)H(13)N(2) (+)·NO(3) (-), the two bicyclic ring systems form a dihedral angle of 3.84?(4)°. The nitrate anion is disordered over two orientations in a 0.9:0.1 ratio. In the crystal structure, the cations form stacks along the a axis, with short inter-molecular contacts [C?C = 3.330?(3) and 3.345?(4)?Å], and link to the anions via N-H?O hydrogen bonds.
