ABSTRACT: In the title compound, (C(14)H(24)N(2)O(8))[CdCl(4)]·4H(2)O, the Cd atom in the tetra-hedral [CdCl(4)](2-) anion lies on a twofold rotation axis, and the diprotonated organic mol-ecule, trans-N,N,N',N'-tetra-kis(carb-oxy-meth-yl)cyclo-hexane-1,2-diammon-ium, has 2 symmetry with the twofold rotation axis running through the mid-point of two C-C bonds in the cyclo-hexane unit. In the crystal structure, classical intra-molecular O-H?O and N-H?O and inter-molecular O-H?O, N-H?O, O-H?Cl and C-H?Cl hydrogen bonds are observed.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, [Mn(ClO(4))(C(30)H(34)N(6))]ClO(4), consists of a cationic [Mn(ClO(4))(C(30)H(34)N(6))](+) complex and a perchlorate anion. In the complex, the Mn(2+) ion is seven-coordinated in an approximately penta-gonal-bipyramidal environment by six N atoms from the hexa-dentate N,N,N',N'-tetra-kis(2-pyridylmeth-yl)-cyclo-hexane-1,2-diamine (tpdach) ligand and one O atom from a perchlorate anion. The complex displays inter-molecular ?-? inter-actions between adjacent pyridine rings (centroid-to-centroid distance 4.133?Å). Moreover, there are weak intra- and inter-molecular C-H?O hydrogen bonds. The Cl atom and two O atoms of the perchlorate are disordered, with a site-occupancy factor of 0.59?(2) for the major component.

A nitrate and a half-occupancy water ligand form long coordination bonds to the Pb(II) ions capping the trigonal-prismatic environment. In the crystal, the components are linked by N-H?O and O-H?O hydrogen bonds, forming a three-dimensional network. C-H?O inter-actions also occur.

Project description:A redetermination of the crystal structure of the title compound, C(6)H(16)N(2) (2+)·2Cl(-), was undertaken. All atomic coordinates including those of the H atoms were refined freely. The cation is located on a centre of symmetry. Important for the crystal structure are wavy hydrogen-bonded layers that are formed by ammonium groups and chloride anions, giving hydrogen-bonded rings.

The crystal structure is stablized by inter-molecular N-H⋯O and C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, and weak C-H⋯π inter-actions. The O atoms of the unique nitrate ion are disordered over two sites with occupancies of 0.63 (1) and 0.37 (1). The Fe(III) atom is displaced by 0.364?(2)?Å from the 24-atom mean plane of the porphyrinate ring towards the tetra-fluoro phenolate anion. The average Fe-N distance is 2.053?(2)?Å and the Fe-O distance is 1.883?(2)?Å. A porphyrin aryl H atom points in the general direction of the phenoxide ring. Further stabilization is provided by weak inter-molecular C-H?O hydrogen bonds.
