[8-(Diphenyl-phosphan-yl)naphthyl-?C,P](phenyl-ethyn-yl)tris-(trimethyl-phosphane-?P)iron(II).

ABSTRACT: The title compound, [Fe(C(8)H(5))(C(22)H(16)P)(C(3)H(9)P)(3)], was synthesized by the addition of phenyl-ethine to a solution of the parent methyl iron complex Fe(CH(3)){P(C(6)H(5))(2)(C(10)H(6))}(PMe(3))(3) at 213?K, accompanied by evolution of methane. The coordination around the iron center can be described as slightly distorted octa-hedral [Fe-P 2.2485?(12)-2.2902?(12)?Å; Fe-C 1.918?(5), 2.015?(4)?Å], with a meridional arrangement of the trimethyl-phosphine ligands and the introduced terminal alkinyl-ligand trans to the P(Ph)(2)-anchoring group.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title crystal, [FeCl(2)(C(3)H(9)P)(3)(CO)]·[FeCl(2)(C(3)H(9)P)(2)(CO)(2)]·2C(4)H(8)O, contains half mol-ecules of the two closely related Fe(II) complexes lying on mirror planes and a tetra-hydro-furan solvent mol-ecule, one C atom of which is disordered over two sets of sites with site occupancy factors 0.633 (9) and 0.367 (9). In both Fe(II) complex mol-ecules, a distorted octa-hedral coordination geometry has been observed around the Fe atoms. Weak intermolecular C-H⋯O inter-actions are observed in the crystal structure.

Project description:In the title compound, [Pd(C(7)H(7)O(2)S)Cl(C(44)H(32)P(2))]·3CH(2)Cl(2)·H(2)O, the geometry around the metal atom is distorted square planar, with a twist angle between the P-Pd-P and S-Pd-Cl planes of 28.11?(2)°. The two Pd-P bond lengths differ by about 0.04?Å and the biphosphane bite angle is slightly obtuse [92.92?(2)°]. There are three dichloro-methane and one water mol-ecule co-crystallized with the palladium mol-ecule, all with atoms in general positions. Alternating water and palladium mol-ecules form four-membered cyclic units through O-H?Cl and O-H?O hydrogen bonding. One of the dichloromethane solvent molecules is disordered over two positions in a 0.55:0.45 ratio.

Project description:The title compound, [Co(C(27)H(25)O(2)P(2))I(C(3)H(9)P)], was synthesized by the addition of 1-iodo-butane to a solution of the parent cobalt complex {1,3-bis-[(diphenyl-phosphan-yl)-oxy]prop-2-yl}bis-(trimethyl-phosphane)cobalt(II). Two five-membered cobaltocycles with considerable ring bending (sum of inter-nal angles = 516.4 and 517.7°) are formed through two P atoms of the PPh(2) groups and a metallated Csp(3) atom. The Co(II) atom is centered in a trigonal-bipyramidal configuration.

Project description:The title compound, [Fe(C(4)H(2)N(2)S(2))(C(3)H(9)P)(2)(CO)(2)], was obtained as a mononuclear by-product during the treatment of [Fe(2)(?-S(2)C(4)N(2)H(2))(CO)(6)] in excess trimethyl-phosphane. The Fe atom is six-coordinated by two thiol-ate S atoms, two phosphane P atoms and two carbonyl C atoms in a distorted octa-hedral geometry. The average Fe-C(O) distance (1.771?Å) is relatively shorter than that of its parent hexa-carbonyl-diiron compound, and differs by 0.511?Å from the average Fe-P(Me)(3) distance. The five-membered FeC(2)S(2) chelate ring plane is close to being perpendicular to the P/Fe/P plane [86.5?(2)°].

Project description:The title compound, C(21)H(21)O(2)PS(2), was obtained from the corresponding dilithio methandiide by treatment with iodo-methane. The bond lengths and angles deviate considerably from those in the dimetallated compound. These differences are most pronounced in the PCS backbone. While the title compound features C-P and C-S distances of 1.9082?(17) and 1.8348?(17)?Å, respectively, the dianion showed C-P(av) distances shortened by 11% [1.710?(4)?Å] and C-S distances shortened by 12% [1.614?(3)?Å]. Additionally, the P-C-S angle experiences a contraction by methyl-ation of the dianion from 121.4?(2) to 111.96?(9)° in the title compound.

In the cobaltocenium unit, the two cyclo-penta-dienyl rings are almost parallel, making a dihedral angle of 1.2?(3)°. The F atoms of the hexa-fluoridophosphate anion are disordered over two sets of sites, with an occupancy ratio of 0.849?(11):0.151?(11). Intra-molecular C-H?Cl hydrogen bonds occur in the complex cation. The complex cations, hexa-fluoridophosphate anions and dichloro-methane solvent mol-ecules are linked by inter-molecular C-H?F hydrogen bonds.

Project description:The title compound, [Fe(C5H5)(C21H24NPS)]I·CHCl3, is built up from a (ferrocenylmeth-yl)trimethyl-ammonium cation, a iodine anion and a chloro-form solvent mol-ecule, all residing in general positions. The N atom of the ammonium group is displaced by 1.182?(2)?Å from the plane of the substituted cyclo-penta-dienyl (Cp) ring towards the Fe atom, whereas the C atom attached to the same Cp ring is slightly below this plane by -0.128?(2)?Å. These deviations might result from weak agostic interactions between the two H atoms of the CH2 group and the Fe atom.

Project description:The title compound, [Fe(NO)(2)(C(21)H(21)P)(2)], belongs to the family of metal dinitrosyl compounds with the general formula Fe(NO)(2)(L)(x), referred to collectively as 'dinitrosyl iron compounds' (DNICs). Herein we report the structure of a dinitrosyl iron diphosphane complex, [Fe(NO)(2)L(2)], with L = P(C(6)H(4)-p-CH(3))(3). There are two crystallographically independent but chemically equal mol-ecules per asymmetric unit. The iron atom in each mol-ecule is tetra-hedrally coordinated by two phosphane ligands and two NO groups, with Fe-N-O angles in the range 173.84 (15)-179.31 (16)°.
