The title compound, C(16)H(18)N(2)O, an N-benzyl-ideneaniline derivative with substituents on both aromatic rings, crystallizes with two independent mol-ecules (A and B) in the asymmetric unit. Both mol-ecules exist in the E configuration. The dihedral angle between the two aromatic rings is 8.20 (5)° for mol-ecule A and 12.52 (6)° for mol-ecule B, and the imino C-N torsion angle (τ) is 7.1 (2)° for mol-ecule A and -14.7 (2)° for mol-ecule B. In the crystal structure, mol-ecules are arranged in ...[more]
