ABSTRACT: The title compound, C(13)H(14)N(2)OS(2)·H(2)O, appears in the form of bimolecular aggregate in which mol-ecular components are linked by O-H?N hydrogen bonding. The nine-membered imidazo[1,2-a]pyridine system is almost planar, with a mean deviation of 0.026?(1)?Å. An intra-molecular C-H?O hydrogen bond forms within the imidazo[1,2-a]pyridine system. The crystal packing is consolidated by O-H?O and C-H?O hydrogen bonds, forming a supra-molecular structure consisting of perpendicular infinite mol-ecular chains running along the a and c axes.

Project description:In the title compound, C11H11NO3S2, the S-Csp (2) bonds are shorter [1.746?(3) and 1.750?(2)?Å] than the S-CH3 bonds [1.794?(3) and 1.806?(3)?Å], which we attribute to d-? inter-actions between the S atoms and the C=C bond. The 1,1-bis-(methyl-sulfan-yl)-3-oxo-propyl-ene fragment and the 4-nitro-phenyl group are both almost planar, with the largest deviations from their mean planes being 0.053?(1) and 0.017?(2)?Å, respectively. The dihedral angle between the two planes is 35.07?(7)°. Mol-ecules in the crystal are linked into a three-dimensional network by C-H?S and C-H?O hydrogen bonds.

Project description:In the title compound, C9H10N2O, the imidazo[1,2-a]pyridine moiety is approximately planar (r.m.s. deviation = 0.024?Å). The methanol group is nearly perpendicular to its mean plane as indicated by the C-C-C-O and N-C-C-O torsion angles of 80.04?(16) and -96.30?(17)°, respectively. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked by O-H?N hydrogen bonds, forming inversion dimers with an R (2) 2(10) ring motif. The dimers are liked via C-H?O hydrogen bonds, enclosing R (2) 2(10) ring motifs and forming ribbons along [201]. The ribbons are linked via a number of ?-? inter-actions [centroid-centroid distances vary from 3.4819?(8) to 3.7212?(8)?Å], forming a three-dimensional structure.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C(16)H(14)F(3)N(3)OS·H(2)O, contains two independent mol-ecules (A and B) and two water mol-ecules, one of which is disordered over two positions in a 0.790?(8):0.210?(8) ratio. The mol-ecular conformations are close, the benzimidazole mean plane and pyridine ring forming dihedral angles of 1.8?(3) and 0.1?(2)° in mol-ecules A and B, respectively. The water mol-ecules are involved in formation of two independent hydrogen-bonded chains via N-H?O and O-H?N hydrogen bonds. Chains propagating along the a axis are formed by mol-ecule A and one independent water mol-ecule, while chains propagating along the b axis are formed by mol-ecule B and the other independent water mol-ecule. The crystal packing exhibits ?-? inter-actions, as indicated by short distances of 3.607?(3) and 3.701?(3)?Å between the centroids of the imidazole and pyridine rings of neighbouring mol-ecules.

Project description:The title compound, C(16)H(14)F(3)N(3)OS·H(2)O, which had been previously characterized in the space group P-1 [Ren et al. (2011 ?). Acta Cryst. E67, o270], has now been crystallized from 1-propanol in the monoclinic form in the space group P2(1)/c. While the triclinic form is a Z' = 2 crystal, the new monoclinic polymorph includes one main mol-ecule and one water lattice mol-ecule in the asymmetric unit. In the crystal, the water mol-ecule is sandwiched between neighboring main mol-ecules and behaves as both donor and acceptor in O-H?N and N-H?O hydrogen bonds with the imidazole N atoms. This pattern of chains parallel to [100] further inter-acts via O-H?N(pyridine) contacts.

Project description:In the title imidazo[1,2-a]pyridine derivatives, N-tert-butyl-2-(4-meth-oxy-phen-yl)-5-methyl-imidazo[1,2-a]pyridin-3-amine, C19H23N3O, (I), and N-tert-butyl-2-[4-(di-methyl-amino)-phen-yl]imidazo[1,2-a]pyridin-3-amine, C19H24N4, (II), the 4-meth-oxy-phenyl ring in (I) and the 4-(di-methyl-amino)-phenyl ring in (II) are inclined to the respective imidazole rings by 26.69?(9) and 31.35?(10)°. In the crystal of (I), mol-ecules are linked by N-H?N hydrogen bonds, forming chains propagating along the [001] direction. The chains are linked by C-H?? inter-actions, forming layers parallel to the (010) plane. In (II), the crystal packing also features N-H?N hydrogen bonds, which together with C-H?N hydrogen bonds link mol-ecules to form chains propagating along the c-axis direction. The chains are linked by C-H?? inter-actions to form layers parallel to the (100) plane. Inversion-related layers are linked by offset ?-? inter-actions [inter-centroid distance = 3.577?(1)?Å]. The inter-molecular inter-actions of both compounds were analyzed using Hirshfeld surface analysis and two-dimensional fingerprint plots.
