ABSTRACT: The metal atom in the title ylid-gold(I) adduct, [Au(C(6)F(5))(C(26)H(23)P)]·C(4)H(10)O, exists in a linear coordination environment [C-Au-C = 174.1?(2)°]. The mol-ecule has a short intra-molecular contact involving an aromatic H atom (Au?H = 2.64?Å); two adjacent mol-ecules are linked by an Au?H(ylid) inter-action (Au?H = 3.14?Å).

Project description:The title compound, (C(44)H(38)P(2))[AuCl(C(6)F(5))](2)·2CH(2)Cl(2), crystallizes with a twofold rotation axis through the central benzene ring in the bis-phospho-nium dication. In the crystal, the dications and anions are ordered into columns running parallel to the c axis by contacts of the pro-ylidic CH(2) groups with the Cl atom of one and an ortho-F atom of another anion. The space between the columns is occupied by CH(2)Cl(2) solvent mol-ecules.

Project description:The reaction of RuCl(Tp)(Ph(3)P)(2), where Tp is [(CH)(3)N(2)](3)BH, with benzophenone imine leads to the formation of the title compound, [Ru(C(9)H(10)BN(6))Cl(C(13)H(11)N)(C(18)H(15)P)]·C(4)H(10)O. The environment about the Ru atom corresponds to a slightly distorted octa-hedron and the bite angle of the Tp ligand produces an average N-Ru-N angle of 86.3 (9)°. The three Ru-N(Tp) bond lengths [2.117 (2), 2.079 (2) and 2.084 (2) Å] are slightly longer than the average distance (2.038 Å) in other ruthenium-Tp complexes.

Project description:In the course of substitution studies on the iron dihydrogen complex trans-[Fe(DMeOPrPE)(2)(H(2))H](BPh(4)) {DMeOPrPE = 1,2-bis-[bis-(methoxy-prop-yl)phosphino]ethane}, we discovered an unexpected transformation of the diphosphine ligand to a diphospho-nium dication without the use of any typical methyl-ating reagent. The P atoms in the dication of the title compound, C(20)H(46)O(4)P(2) (2+)·2C(24)H(20)B(-)·C(4)H(10)O, have a distorted tetra-hedral coordination with P-C(Me) distances of 1.791 (2) and 1.785 (2) Å. The P-C-C-P torsion angle about the central dimethyl-ene bridge is -168.3 (1)°.

Project description:The reaction of [RuCl(C(9)H(10)BN(6))(C(18)H(15)P)(2)] with benzo-phenone imine in methanol, in the presence of sodium azide, leads to the formation of the title compound, [Ru(C(9)H(10)BN(6))(N(3))(HN=CPh(2))(C(18)H(15)P)]·C(4)H(10)O, which crystallizes as the diethyl ether solvate. In the crystal structure, the Ru atom is coordinated by three N atoms of one hydridotris(pyrazoly)borate anion, one P atom of one triphenyl-phosphine ligand, one N atom of the azide anion and one N atom of the benzophenone-imine ligand in a slightly distorted octa-hedral geometry. The azide anion is almost linear [177.0 (5)°], with an Ru-N-N angle of 125.9 (3)°. There is a small difference between the N-N distances [1.200 (5) and 1.164 (5) Å], the longer bond being adjacent to the Ru atom.

Project description:Mol-ecules of the title compound, [Zn(8)(C(6)F(5))(8)O(4)(C(4)H(10)O)(4)], are located on a special position of site symmetry [Formula: see text]. As a result, there is just one quarter-mol-ecule in the asymmetric unit. The title compound features a Zn(4)O(4) cube. Each Zn atom in the cube carries a pentafluorophenyl substituent. Each O atom is bonded to a further Zn atom, which is connected to a pentafluorophenyl substituent and the O atom of a diethyl ether mol-ecule. All ether C atoms are disordered over two sets of sites with a site occupation factor of 0.51?(2) for the major occupied site.

Project description:The crystal structure of the title compound, Na[(C(6)F(5))BH(3)], is composed of discrete anions and cations. The sodium cations are surrounded by four anions with three short Na⋯B [2.848 (8), 2.842 (7) and 2.868 (8) Å] and two short Na⋯F contacts [2.348 (5) and 2.392 (5) Å], forming a three-dimensional network. The anion is the first structural example of a pentafluorophenyl ring carrying a BH(3) group.

Project description:In the title compound, [LiTa(C(10)H(15))(C(10)H(13)N)(2)Cl(C(4)H(10)O)], the Ta(V) atom is coordinated by a η(5)-penta-methyl-cyclo-penta-dienyl (Cp*) ligand, a chloride ion and two N-bonded 2-tert-butyl-phenyl-imide dianions. With respect to the two N atoms, the chloride ion and the centroid of the Cp* ring, the tantalum coordination geometry is approximately tetra-hedral. The lithium cation is bonded to both the 2-tert-butyl-phenyl-imide dianions and also a diethyl ether mol-ecule, in an approximate trigonal planar arrangement. The Ta⋯Li separation is 2.681 (15) Å. In the crystal, a weak C-H⋯Cl inter-action links the mol-ecules. When compared to the 2,6-diisopropyl-phenyl-imide analogue ('the Wigley derivative') of the title compound, the two structures are conformationally matched with an overall r.m.s. difference of 0.461Å.

Project description:The title compound, C(12)H(19)O(4)P, has a distorted tetra-hedral geometry around the P atom. The molecules form dimers with R(2) (2)(10) ring motifs due to inter-molecular O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds. The double-bonded O atom of the phospho-nate group behaves as an acceptor and the hydr-oxy group acts as a donor. Both of the ethyl groups are disordered with occupancies of 0.55:0.45 and 0.725:0.275.
