2-Methyl-pyrazine 1,4-dioxide.

ABSTRACT: The title compound, C(5)H(6)N(2)O(2), was prepared from 2-methyl-pyrazine, acetic acid and hydrogen peroxide. In the crystal, ?-? stacking inter-actions between neighboring mol-ecules are observed, with a centroid-centroid distance of 3.7370?Å, an inter-planar distance of 3.167?Å, and a slippage of 1.984?Å. Each mol-ecule is linked to four neighbors through C-H?O hydrogen-bonding inter-actions, forming one-dimensional ribbons.

The title compound, C(5)H(6)N(2)O(2), was prepared from 2-methyl-pyrazine, acetic acid and hydrogen peroxide. In the crystal, π-π stacking inter-actions between neighboring mol-ecules are observed, with a centroid-centroid distance of 3.7370 Å, an inter-planar distance of 3.167 Å, and a slippage of 1.984 Å. Each mol-ecule is linked to four neighbors through C-H⋯O hydrogen-bonding inter-actions, forming one-dimensional ribbons. ...[more]
