ABSTRACT: In the title compound, C(6)H(16)N(4)O(4)·4H(2)O, the tetra-zinane mol-ecule lies across an inversion centre. The tetra-zinane ring adopts a chair conformation, and all imino H atoms occupy axial positions. In the crystal, adjacent mol-ecules are linked through O-H?O, O-H?N and N-H?O hydrogen bonds with water mol-ecules generating a three-dimensional network.

Project description:The crystal structure of the title compound, (C(6)H(12)N(5)O)(4)[W(12)(SiO(4))O(36)]·6H(2)O, consists of an α-Keggin-type [W(12)(SiO(4))O(36)](4-) polyoxidoanion, four [(2H-tetra-zol-5-yl)meth-yl]morpholinium cations and six uncoordinated water mol-ecules. In the cations, the morpholine rings display chair conformations. Extensive N-H⋯O, N-H⋯N, O-H⋯O and O-H⋯N hydrogen bonds are present in the crystal structure.

A variety of O-H⋯O, N-H⋯O and C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, as well as C-H⋯π inter-actions, are present in the crystal structure. Two water O atoms are each disordered over two positions; for both the site occupany factors are ca 0.66 and 0.34.

Project description:The title heteropolyoxidotungstate-based inorganic-organic hybrid material, (C(6)H(12)N(5)O)(3)[W(12)(PO(4))O(36)]·6H(2)O, consists of one α-Keggin-type [W(12)(PO(4))O(36)](3-) polyoxidometalate anion (POM), three crystallographically independent 4-[(2H-tetra-zol-5-yl)meth-yl]morpholinium cations and six water mol-ecules of crystallization. The morpholine ring of the cation adopts a chair conformation. The anion shows characteristic features with respect to bond lengths and angles. An extensive network of N-H⋯O, N-H⋯N, O-H⋯O and O-H⋯N hydrogen-bonding inter-actions between the organic cations, inorganic anion and the crystal water mol-ecules lead to a three-dimensional structure. Moreover, six uncoordinated water mol-ecules increase the number of hydrogen bonds in the network and lead to the formation of (H(2)O)(∞) clusters.

Project description:The title compound, [Cu4(C11H13NO4)4]·CH3CH2OH·2.5H2O, is an electronically neutral tetra-nuclear copper(II) complex with a cubane-like Cu4O4 core. The complete molecule has point group symmetry 2. The phenol hy-droxy group and one of the three alcohol hy-droxy groups of each 2-{[tris-(hy-droxy-meth-yl)meth-yl]imino-meth-yl}phenol ligand are depro-ton-ated, while the secondary amine and the other two hy-droxy groups remain unchanged. The Cu(II) atoms in the Cu4O4 core are connected by four ?3-O atoms from the deprotonated alcohol hy-droxy groups. Each of the penta-coordinated Cu(II) ions has an NO4 distorted square-pyramidal environment through coordination to the tridentate Schiff base ligands. The Cu-N/O bond lengths span the range 1.902?(4)-1.955?(4)?Å, similar to values reported for related structures. There are O-H?O hydrogen-bond inter-actions between the complex molecules and the ethanol and water solvent molecules, leading to the formation of a three-dimensional network. The ethanol solvent molecule is disordered about a twofold rotation axis. One of the two independent water molecules is also located on this twofold rotation axis and shows half-occupancy.

The four Co(III) ions and bridging O atoms from four (2-pyrid-yl)methano-late anions are located at alternating vertices of the cube, with bromide ions and methanol ligands on the exterior of the core, completing a distorted octa-hedral geometry. The structure is stablized by inter-molecular O-H?Br and O-H?O inter-actions.

Project description:The structure of the title compound, [MnCl(2)(C(5)H(10)O(2))(2)], was solved from low-temperature data collected at 100 (2) K. The asymmetric unit contains one half-mol-ecule with the Mn(II) ion located on a twofold axis. A distorted octa-hedral environment around the Mn atom is formed by two ether and two hydroxyl O atoms of two 2-(hydroxy-methyl)tetra-hydro-furan ligands, and by two chloride ions. The chelating tetra-hydro-furan ligands, which form five-membered rings, are cis oriented. The crystal structure is stabilized by hydrogen bonding between the coordinated OH groups and the chloride ions.

Project description:In the title compound, [Zn(2)(C(10)H(2)O(8))(C(16)H(20)N(4))(H(2)O)(2)](n), the Zn(II) atom is in a distorted tetra-hedral environment, being coordinated by one N atom from a 1,4-bis-(3-pyridyl-meth-yl)piperazine (3-bpmp) ligand, two O atoms from two carboxyl-ate groups of the pyromellitate anion and one water mol-ecule. The distortion of the tetrahedral coordination may be ascribed to the hydrogen bonds between the carboxyl-ate groups and the adjacent water mol-ecules. Each Zn(II) atom links to three organic ligands and each pyromellitate ligand coordinates to four Zn(II) atoms, forming a (3,4)-connected infinite three-dimensional framework. O-H?N inter-actions also occur.

3-Phenyl-6-(2-pyrid-yl)-1,2,4,5-tetra-zine.

Project description:The title compound, C(13)H(9)N(5), is the first asymmetric diaryl-1,2,4,5-tetra-zine to be crystallographically characterized. We have been inter-ested in this motif for incorporation into supra-molecular assemblies based on coordination chemistry. The solid state structure shows a centrosymmetric mol-ecule, forcing a positional disorder of the terminal phenyl and pyridyl rings. The mol-ecule is completely planar, unusual for aromatic rings with N atoms in adjacent ortho positions. The stacking observed is very common in diaryl-tetra-zines and is dominated by π stacking [centroid-to-centroid distance between the tetrazine ring and the aromatic ring of an adjacent molecule is 3.6 Å, perpendicular (centroid-to-plane) distance of about 3.3 Å].

Project description:Mol-ecules of the title compound, C(16)H(8)N(6), lie on crystallographic inversion centres. A dihedral angle of 16.1 (1)° is formed between the central tetra-zine ring and the plane of each cyano-phenyl group. The mol-ecules form stacks along [100] with a perpendicular inter-planar separation of 3.25 (1) Å. C-H⋯N inter-actions are formed between mol-ecules in neighbouring stacks.
