ABSTRACT: The dinuclear title complex, [Cu(2)(C(17)H(11)NO(2))(2)(C(5)H(5)N)(2)], consists of centrosymmetric dimers in which the Cu(II) atom displays an elongated square-pyramidal coordination geometry. The conformation of the dimer is stabilized by inter-molecular C-H?O hydrogen bonds and by ?-? aromatic stacking inter-actions involving the pyridine and benzene rings with centroid-centroid separations of 3.624?(3)?Å.
