ABSTRACT: There are two independent mol-ecules in the asymmetric unit of the title compound, C(11)H(9)Cl(2)N, both of which are essentially planar [maximum deviations of 0.072?(5) and 0.072?(7)?Å]. In the crystal structure, weak ?-? stacking inter-actions [centroid-centroid distances = 3.791?(3)?Å and 3.855?(3)?Å] link pairs of mol-ecules.
