ABSTRACT: In the crystal structure of the title molecular salt, C(8)H(12)N(+)·C(7)H(7)O(3)S(-), the 4-ethyl-anilinium cations and 4-methyl-benzene-sulfonate anions are linked into chains parallel to the b axis by inter-molecular N-H?O hydrogen bonds.

These chains inter-associate through a number of N(+)-H⋯O and O-H⋯O bridging inter-actions, giving a two-dimensional array in the ab plane.
