ABSTRACT: In the title compound, C(4)H(7)N(3)O·C(2)H(6)OS, creatinine [2-amino-1-methyl-1H-imidazol-4(5H)one] exists in the amine form. The ring is planar (r.m.s. deviation for all non-H atoms = 0.017?Å). In the crystal, two creatinine mol-ecules form centrosymmetric hydrogen-bonded dimers linked by pairs of N-H?N hydrogen bonds. In addition, creatinine is linked to a dimethyl sulfoxide mol-ecule by an N-H?O inter-action. The packing shows layers parallel to (120).

Project description:In the asymmetric unit of the title compound, C26H17N13O·C2H6OS·2H2O, there is one independent hepta-zine-based main mol-ecule, one dimethyl sulfoxide mol-ecule and two water mol-ecules as solvents. The tri-s-triazine unit is substituted with two dipyridyl amine moieties and a carbonylic O atom. As indicated by the bond lengths in this acid unit of the hepta-zine derivative [C=O = 1.213 (2) Å, while the adjacent C-N(H) bond = 1.405 (2) Å] it is best described by the keto form. The cyameluric nucleus is close to planar (r.m.s. deviation = 0.061 Å) and the pyridine rings are inclined to its mean plane by dihedral angles varying from 47.47 (5) to 70.22 (5)°. The host and guest mol-ecules are connected via N-H⋯O, O-H⋯O and O-H⋯N hydrogen bonds, forming a four-membered inversion dimer-like arrangement enclosing an R 4 (4)(24) ring motif. These arrangements stack along [1-10] with a weak π-π inter-action [inter-centroid distance = 3.8721 (12) Å] involving adjacent pyridine rings. There are also C-H⋯N and C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds and C-H⋯π inter-actions present within the host mol-ecule and linking inversion-related mol-ecules, forming a three-dimensional structure.

Alternariol 9-O-methyl ether dimethyl sulfoxide monosolvate.

Project description:The title compound (systematic name3,7-dihy-droxy-9-meth-oxy-1-methyl-6H-benzo[c]chromen-6-one dimethyl sulfoxide monosolvate), C15H12O5·C2H6OS, was isolated from an unidentified endophytic fungus (belonging to class Ascomycetes) of Taxus sp. In the crystal, both the alternariol 9-O-methyl ether (AME) and the dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) mol-ecules exhibit crystallographic mirror symmetry. One of the hy-droxy groups makes bifurcated hydrogen bonds, viz. an intra-molecular bond with the carbonyl group and an inter-molecular bond with the carbonyl group in an inversion-related AME mol-ecule. In the crystal, the AME mol-ecules are organized into stacks parallel with the b axis by π-π inter-actions between centrosymmetrically related mol-ecules [the distance between the centroid of the central ring and the centroid of the meth-oxy-substituted benzene ring in the next mol-ecule of the stack is 3.6184 (5) Å]. Pairs of DMSO mol-ecules, linked via centrosymmetric C-H⋯O contacts, are inserted into the voids created by the AME mol-ecules, making O-H⋯O and C-H⋯O contacts with the hosts.

Project description:In dimethyl sulfoxide solvated 9-(2-carb-oxy-2-cyano-vin-yl)julolidine, C(16)H(16)N(2)O(2)·C(2)H(6)OS, the essentially planar -CH=(CN)-CO(2)H substituent (r.m.s. deviation = 0.014 Å) is almost coplanar with respect to the benzene ring, the dihedral angle between the two planes being 0.48 (2)°. The conformations of the fused, non-aromatic rings were found to be half-chair. In the crystal, the acid molecule forms a hydrogen bond to the O atom of the solvent mol-ecule. The acid mol-ecule is disordered over two positions with respect to the methyl-ene C atoms in a 1:1 ratio. The crystal studied was found to be a racemic twin.

Project description:In the title compound C21H17N5O4·C2H6OS, the central six-membered ring derived from 1,4-di-hydro-pyridine adopts a distorted boat conformation with a small puckering amplitude of 0.127?(3)?Å. The sums of bond angles around the pyridine N atom [358.7?(2)°] and the other imidazolidine N atom [60?(2)°] indicate that these atoms are in sp(2) hybridization, leading to an essentially planar imidazolidine ring. The last heterocycle, an oxindole moiety, is also nearly planar with an r.m.s. deviation of 0.0185?(1)?Å. The amine NH2 group forms an intra-molecular hydrogen bond with the benzoyl group, giving a S(6) motif. In the crystal, N-H?O hydrogen bonds lead to the formation of chains along the c-axis direction. Within the chains there are further N-H?O and C-H?O hydrogen bonds enclosing R (2) 2(14) ring motifs. The chains are linked via N-H?O and C-H?O hydrogen bonds involving the dimethyl sulfoxide solvent mol-ecule which acts as both an acceptor and a donor..

Project description:In the title compound, C(18)H(17)N(3)O·0.5C(2)H(5)OH, the dihedral angles between the central imidazole rings and the pendant benzene rings are 42.06 (15) and 2.01 (16)° in one asymmetric mol-ecule and 47.91 (15) and 7.31 (14)° in the other. An intra-molecular N-H⋯O hydrogen bond occurs in each imidazole mol-ecule. In the crystal, the components are connected by O-H⋯N, N-H⋯O, C-H⋯O and N-H⋯N hydrogen bonds. Weak aromatic π-π inter-actions also occur [shortest centroid-centroid distance = 3.684 (3) Å].

The mol-ecule adopts an E configuration about the central C=N double bond. A weak intra-molecular C-H?O hydrogen bond generates an S(6) ring motif. The dihedral angle between the pyrazole rings is 24.72?(10)° and the dihedral angles between the pyrazole rings and the adjacent phenyl rings are 58.67?(10) and 46.58?(11)°. The crystal structure is stabilized by weak C-H?? inter-actions involving the pyrazolone and phenyl rings.
