ABSTRACT: The title compound, [Ni(C(15)H(24)NSi)(2)], is a homoleptic metal-?(3)-aza-allyl centrosymmetric complex containing two aza-allyl ligands bound in an ?(3)-manner to an Ni(II) atom located on a center of symmetry. The overall coordination about the Ni(II) atom is square-planar. The C and N atoms of the aza-allyl group are sp(2)-hybridized. The uneven Ni-C and Ni-N distances [2.045?(5)/2.060?(6) and 1.916?(5)?Å] are influenced by a steric hindering effect from the nearby benzene ring.

Project description:The green title complex, [Co(2)(CH(3))(2)(C(12)H(21)N(2)Si)(2)], was obtained from bis-{[?-N-tert-butyl-dimethyl-silyl-N-(pyridin-2-ylmeth-yl)amido]-chloridocobalt(II)} and methyl-lithium in diethyl ether at 195?K via a metathesis reaction. The dimeric cobalt(II) complex exhibits a crystallographic center of inversion in the middle of the Co(2)N(2) ring (average Co-N = 2.050?Å). The Co(II) atom shows a distorted tetra-hedral coordination sphere. The exocyclic Co-N bond length to the pyridyl group shows a similar value of 2.045?(4)?Å. The exocyclic methyl group has a rather long Co-C bond length of 2.019?(5)?Å.

The Ni(II) ion lies on an inversion centre and displays a slightly distorted NiN(4) square-planar chelation arrangement with four N atoms from the Me(6)[14]dieneN(4) macrocycle. Two S atoms from symmetry-related anions are located in pseudo-axial positions with respect to the Ni(II) ion, with Ni?S distances of 3.2991?(7)?Å. Inter-molecular N-H?S and C-H?S hydrogen bonds link the complex cation and pair of anions into a 1:2 type salt.

The complex exhibits a distorted-octa-hedral geometry about the low spin d(6) Ru(II) center. Project description:In the centrosymmetric title compound, C(64)H(62)N(4), the two phenyl-ethynyl groups lie at diagonal meso positions. The 24-membered porphyrin has in-plane distortion with respect to the mean plane of the macrocycle and two intra-ring bifurcated N-H?(N,N) hydrogen bonds occur. The dihedral angles between the phenyl rings in the phenyl-ethynyl group and the 3,5-bis-(tert-but-yl)phenyl group with respect to the mean plane of the porphyrin are 17.2?(2) and 59.2?(3)°. The dihedral angle between the di-hydro-isoxazole ring and the directly attached phenyl group is 86.86?(8)°. There are two nonclassical inter-molecular C-H?O hydrogen-bonding inter-actions that operate together with an inter-molecular C-H?? inter-action to form a supramolecular architecture in the crystal system.
