ABSTRACT: In the title compound, C(16)H(19)FN(3)O(3) (+)·C(8)H(5)O(4) (-)·0.5C(8)H(6)O(4), the benzene-1,4-dicarb-oxy-lic acid mol-ecule is located on a centre of symmetry. In the crystal, the mol-ecules and ions are connected by inter-molecular C-H?O and O-H?O hydrogen bonds and ?-? stacking inter-actions [with a centroid-centroid distance of 3.402?(2)?Å], generating a three-dimensional supra-molecular structure.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, 3C(5)H(6)ClN(2) (+)·3C(8)H(5)O(4) (-)·C(8)H(6)O(4), contains three independent 2-amino-5-chloro-pyridinium cations, three independent hydrogen phthal-ate anions and one phthalic acid mol-ecule. In the crystal structure, there are two kinds of supra-molecular tapes. One is formed by two independent cations with two anions through N-H?O and C-H?O hydrogen bonds. Another one is formed by the other cation and anion, and the phthalic acid mol-ecule via N-H?O, O-H?O and C-H?O hydrogen bonds. These two tapes are connected by an O-H?O hydrogen bond, forming a double-tape structure.

These hydrogen-bonded sheets are packed in the crystal with the formation of centrosymmetric voids of 25.5?Å(3), which are filled by the water mol-ecules.

Project description:In this study, four new piperazinium salts, namely, 4-phenyl-piperazin-1-ium 4-eth-oxy-benzoate monohydrate, C9H9O3·C10H15N2·H2O (I); 4-phenyl-piperazin-1-ium 4-meth-oxy-benzoate monohydrate, C10H15N2·C8H7O3·H2O (II); 4-phenyl-piperazin-1-ium 4-methyl-benzoate monohydrate, C10H15N2·C8H7O2·H2O (III); and 4-phenyl-piperazin-1-ium tri-fluoro-acetate 0.12 hydrate, C10H15N2·C2F3O2·0.12H2O (IV), have been synthesized. The single-crystal structures of these compounds reveal that all of them crystallize in the triclinic P space group and the crystal packing of (I)-(III) is built up of ribbons formed by a combination of hydrogen bonds of type N-H⋯O, O-H⋯O and other weak inter-actions of type C-H⋯O and C-H⋯π, leading to a three-dimensional network. In the crystal of (IV), the cations and the anions are connected by C-H⋯O, N-H⋯O and C-H⋯F hydrogen bonds and by C-H⋯π inter-actions, forming sheets which in turn inter-act to maintain the crystal structure by linking through the oxygen atoms of water mol-ecules and van der Waals inter-actions, giving the whole structure.

Project description:The neutral carb-oxy-lic acid mol-ecule and the carboxyl-ate anion in the title compound, C(18)H(18)N(6) (2+)·2C(8)H(4)IO(4) (-)·2C(8)H(5)IO(4)·2H(2)O, are both nearly planar (r.m.s. deviations = 0.034 and 0.045?Å, respectively). In the cation, the mid-point of the C-C bond linking the two benzene rings lies on a center of inversion, and the triazole ring is approximately perpendicular to the adjacent benzene ring [dihedral angle = 83.2?(3)°]. In the crystal, the cations, anions, carb-oxy-lic acid and lattice water mol-ecules are linked by N-H?O, O-H?N and O-H?O hydrogen bonds, generating a ribbon running along [1-10]. The crystal studied was a non-merohedral twin with the components in a 51.2?(1):48.8?(1) ratio.

Project description:In the title organic salt, C17H20F2N3O3 +·C8H4FO4 -, proton transfer leads to one protonated lomefloxacin mol-ecule (HLf+) and one 3-carb-oxy-5-fluoro-benzoate (5-F-Hip-) anion in the asymmetric unit. The HLf+ cation is bent, with a dihedral angle of 38.3?(1)° between the quinoline ring and the piperazinium moiety. In the crystal, two kinds of N-H?O and O-H?O hydrogen-bonded chains cross-link each other to produce a three-dimensional network structure that is additionally stabilized by weak C-H?O and C-H?F hydrogen bonds, as well as ?-? inter-actions. The methyl group attached to the piperazinium ring is disordered over two sets of sites [refined ratio: 0.645?(5):0.335?(5)], indicating the presence of both enanti-omers of the cation in the structure.

Project description:The title hydrated salt, C6H6NO2 (+)·C10H5O8 (-)·H2O, was isolated from the 1:1 cocrystallization of benzene-1,2,4,5-tetra-carb-oxy-lic acid and isonicotinic acid in ethanol solution. In the crystal, the cation is close to planar [r.m.s. deviation = 0.085?Å for the nine fitted atoms; the C-C-C-O(carbon-yl) torsion angle = -8.7?(4)°], but twists are evident in the anion, with all but the carb-oxy-lic acid group diagonally opposite the carboxyl-ate group being significantly twisted out of the plane of the benzene ring [C-C-C-O(carbon-yl) torsion angles = -118.1?(2), -157.6?(2), 4.3?(3) and 77.3?(3)°]. In the crystal, the ions and water mol-ecules are consolidated into a three-dimensional architecture by O-H?O and N-H?O hydrogen bonding along with C-H?O inter-actions.

In the o-phthalate acid mol-ecule, the carboxyl-ate groups are twisted from the benzene ring by dihedral angles of 13.6?(1)° and 73.1?(1)°; the hy-droxy H atom in the latter group is disordered over two positons in a 1:1 ratio. In the crystal, O-H?O and N-H?O hydrogen bonds link the mol-ecules into zigzag chains in [-101].
