[1,2-Bis(diphenyl-phosphan-yl)ethane-?P,P']{2-[(4-nitro-benzoyl-meth-yl)diphenyl-phosphan-yl]phenyl-?C,C'}palladium(II) trifluoro-methane-sulfonate-dichloro-methane-n-hexane (1/1/0.5).

ABSTRACT: In the cation of the title compound, [Pd(C(26)H(19)NO(3)P)(C(26)H(24)P(2))]CF(3)O(3)S·CH(2)Cl(2)·0.5C(6)H(14), the Pd(II) atom has a slightly tetra-hedrally distorted square-planar coordination geometry. The PdC(3)P and PdC(2)P(2) five-membered metallacycles adopt envelope and twist conformations, respectively. In the crystal, inter-molecular C-H?O hydrogen bonds link cations and anions into a three-dimensional network. The dichloro-methane solvent mol-ecule is disordered over three orientations with a site-occupancy ratio of 0.5/0.3/0.2. The n-hexane solvent mol-ecule has a crystallographically imposed centre of symmetry.

Project description:The title compound, [Pt(C??H??NP?)?](CF?SO?)?, consists of a Pt(II) atom, situated on an inversion centre, coordinated by two diphosphinoamine bidentate ligands and charge-balanced by two trifluoro-methane-sulfonate anions. The Pt(II) atom has a distorted square-planar geometry defined by the four P atoms. The distortion is illustrated by the P-Pt-P bite angle of 70.31?(4)°. The geometry around the N atom deviates from a trigonal-planar geometry, evidenced by the P-N-P bite angle of 102.3?(2) °. The N atom is displaced by 0.114?(4)?Å from the C/P/P plane. In order to coordinate, the orientation of the phenyl rings alters from a C(s) conformation to a C(2v) conformation. The cyclo-pentane ring is slightly twisted: the puckering parameters are q(2) = 0.420?(5)?Å and ? = 26.5?(8) °. The trifluoro-methane-sulfonate anion displays a 0.511?(11):0.489?(11) positional disorder. Weak inter- and intra-molecular C-H?O hydrogen bonds influence the crystal packing.

Project description:Colourless crystals of the title compound, C(27)H(24)O(2)P(+)·CF(3)SO(3) (-), have been prepared by the addition of a solution of AgCF(3)SO(3) in methanol to a solution of (4-methoxy-benzoyl-meth-yl)triphenyl-phospho-nium bromide in dry methanol. There are two crystallographically independent mol-ecules in the asymmetric unit. The crystal structure is stabilized by inter- and intra-molecular C-H?O hydrogen bonds and further stabilized by C-H?? inter-actions.

Project description:In the title Ru(II) carboxyl-ate compound, [Ru(C2H3O2)(C26H24P2)2](CF3O3S)0.75Cl0.25, the distorted tris-bidentate octa-hedral stereochemistry about the Ru(II) atom in the complex cation comprises four P-atom donors from two 1,2-bis-(diphenyl-phosphan-yl)ethane ligands [Ru-P = 2.2881 (13)-2.3791 (13) Å] and two O-atom donors from the acetate ligand [Ru-O = 2.191 (3) and 2.202 (3) Å]. The disordered counter-anions are located on the same site in the structure in a 3:1 ratio, the expanded formula comprising four complex cations, three trifluoro-methane-sulfonate anions and one chloride anion, with two such formula units in the unit cell.

Project description:The title complex, [Ag(2)(C(25)H(22)P(2))(2)(C(9)H(7)N)(2)](CF(3)SO(3))(2)·C(9)H(7)N, was prepared by the reaction of silver(I) trifluoro-methane-sulfonate with isoquinoline and bis-(diphenyl-phosphan-yl)methane (dppm). The dinuclear mol-ecule is located about a center of inversion and the Ag(I) atom is coordinated by two dppm P atoms and one isoquinoline N atom, forming an eight-membered metalla ring. In addition, in the asymmetric unit, there is a half-mol-ecule of isoquinoline located about a center of inversion. Since this mol-ecule does not possess this symmetry, for one position in the ring there is superposition of both a C atom of a C-H group and the isoquinoline N atom. In the structure, the Ag-P distances [2.4296 (9) and 2.4368 (9) Å] agree with the corresponding distances in related structures, while the Ag-N bond length [2.489 (3) Å] is slightly longer than that in related structures. On the other hand, the P-Ag-P angle [156.44 (3)°] is much larger than the corresponding angles in related structures. The trifluoro-methane-sulfonate anions do not coordinate to Ag(I) atoms. As is usually found for these anions, the -CF(3) group is disordered over two orientations [occupancies = 0.57 (12) and 0.43 (12)].

Project description:In the crystal structure of the title compound, C(14)H(12)NS(+)·CF(3)SO(3) (-), N-H?O hydrogen bonds link cations and anions into ion pairs. Inversely oriented ion pairs form stacks through multidirectional ?-? inter-actions among the acridine units. The crystal structure features a network of C-H?O inter-actions among stacks and also long-range electrostatic inter-actions among ions. In the packing of the mol-ecules, the acridine units are nearly parallel in stacks or inclined at an angle of 33.07?(2)° in the four adjacent stacks with which they inter-act via weak C-H?O inter-actions. The methyl-sulfanyl group is twisted through an angle of 60.53?(2)° with respect to the acridine ring.

Project description:The mol-ecular structure of the title compound, trans-[Cu(C2H)Cl(C26H24P2)2], consists of an Ru(II) cation, located on an inversion centre, in an octa-hedral environment defined by two chelating phosphines, one acetyl-ide and one chloride ligand. The -C CH and the chlorine ligands are disordered over two equivalent positions (0.5 occupancy each). The coordination geometry is distorted octa-hedral, with the -C CH fragment and the Cl ligand in trans positions. The four P atoms occupy the equatorial plane of the octa-hedron and the chloride and acetyl-ide ligands the axial positions.

Project description:Facile ligand substitution is observed when the ruthenium chloride complex [Ru(?(5)-C(9)H(7))Cl(dppe)] (dppe is diphenylphosphanyl ethane) is treated with NaN(3) in refluxing ethanol, yielding the title compound, [Ru(?(5)-C(9)H(7))(N(3))(dppe)] or [Ru(C(9)H(7))(N(3))(C(26)H(24)P(2))]. The Ru(II) atom has a typical piano-stool coordination. The Ru-P bond lengths are 2.284?(2) and 2.235?(2)?Å. NMR and MS analyses are in agreement with the structure of the title compound.

Project description:In the crystal structure of the title compound, C(27)H(20)NO(2) (+)·CF(3)SO(3) (-), the cations form inversion dimers through π-π inter-actions between the acridine ring systems [centroid-centroid distances = 3.668 (2)-3.994 (2) Å]. These dimers are further linked by C-H⋯O and C-H⋯π inter-actions. The cation and the anion are connected by C-H⋯O inter-actions. The mean plane of the acridine ring system makes dihedral angles of 10.6 (1) and 82.5 (1)°, respectively, with the adjacent phenyl ring and the carb-oxy group. The two phenyl rings of the biphenyl group are oriented at 42.9 (1)°.

Positions 2 and 8 on the xanthene backbone are functionalized with methyl groups to allow for the selective functionalization of the backbone at positions 4 and 6 with diphenyl-phosphanyl units. The title compound shows a significant 'roof-like' bending along the axis of planarity involving the O- and S-donor atoms and the benzene rings, resulting in a dihedral angle between the mean planes of the benzene rings of 32.88?(13)°.
