ABSTRACT: In the title compound, C(40)H(32)Br(4)N(3)O(6)P(3), the cyclo-triphos-phazene ring adopts a planar conformation, with an r.m.s. deviation of 0.0247?Å. In the crystal, there is a weak inter-molecular C-H?O hydrogen bond as well as short inter-molecular Br?Br contacts [3.3352?(12)?Å].

Project description:The title compound, [-Si(C(12)H(9))(2)OSi(CH(3))(2)O-](2), was obtained unintentionally as the product of an attempted crystallization of caesium bis-(biphenyl-2,2'-di-yl)fluoro-silicate from dimethyl-formamide. In the crystal, the mol-ecule is located on an inversion center and the siloxane ring adopts a twist-chair conformation with the two dimethyl-substituted Si atoms lying 0.7081 (5) Å out of the plane defined by the two bis-(biphenyl-2-yl)-substituted Si atoms and the four O atoms. In each Si(C(12)H(9))(2) unit, the orientation of one terminal phenyl ring relative to the phenyl-ene ring of the other biphenyl moiety suggests a parallel displaced π-π stacking inter-action [centroid distance = 4.2377 (11) Å and dihedral angle = 15.40 (9)°].

Project description:The title compound, [Cu(4)Br(4)(C(21)H(22)Br(2)N(4))(4)], features a macrocyclic Cu(4)L(4) ring system in which each Cu(I) atom is coordinated by one bromide ion and two N atoms from two 2,2'-dimethyl-1,1'-[2,2-bis-(bromo-meth-yl)propane-1,3-di-yl]di(1H-benzimidazole) (L) ligands in a distorted trigonal-planar geometry. The L ligands adopt either a cis or trans configuration. The asymmetric unit contains one half-mol-ecule with the center of the macrocycle located on a crystallographic center of inversion. Each bromide ion binds to a Cu(I) atom in a terminal mode and is oriented outside the ring. The macrocycles are inter-connected into a two-dimensional network by ?-? inter-actions between benzimid-azole groups from different rings [centroid-centroid distance = 3.803?(5)?Å.

Project description:The title compound, [Fe(C6HF4O)(C48H36N4O4)]·C6H12, represents a five-coordinate iron(III) porphyrin complex in a square-pyramidal geometry with a tetra-fluoro-phenolate anion as the axial ligand. The Fe(III) atom is displaced by 0.364?(2)?Å from the 24-atom mean plane of the porphyrinate ring towards the tetra-fluoro phenolate anion. The average Fe-N distance is 2.053?(2)?Å and the Fe-O distance is 1.883?(2)?Å. A porphyrin aryl H atom points in the general direction of the phenoxide ring. Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, (C(6)H(9)N(2))(4)[V(4)O(12)]·4H(2)O, contains half of a [V(4)O(12)](4-) anion, two 2-amino-4-methyl-pyridinium, (2a4mpH)(+), cations and two water mol-ecules. One water mol-ecule is disordered over two sets of sites with equal occupancies and the H atoms for this mol-ecule were not included in the refinement. The cation lies on an inversion center with four tetra-hedral VO(4) units each sharing two vertices, forming an eight-membered ring. In the crystal, the components are linked by inter-molecular N-H?O hydrogen bonds, forming a one-dimensional network along [100]. Further stabilization is provided by weak inter-molecular C-H?O hydrogen bonds. In addition, ?-? stacking inter-actions with centroid-centroid distances of 3.5420?(18), 3.7577?(18) and 3.6311?(19)?Å are observed.

Project description:In the title compound, C(56)H(44)Br(4)O(4), the calix[4]arene unit displays the 1,2-alternate conformation with crystallograpically imposed inversion symmetry. The four phen-oxy rings of the calix[4]arene unit are twisted about the mean plane defined by the four methyl-ene C atoms bridging the benzene rings, with dihedral angles of 46.73?(6) and 66.11?(5)°. The dihedral angle between adjacent phen-oxy rings is 74.75?(7)°. The two pendant bromo-phenyl rings on the same side of the calix[4]arene unit are nearly perpendicular to each other, with a dihedral angle of 72.85?(10)° due to an intra-molecular C-H?? inter-action. In the crystal, a Br?Br contact of 3.6350?(5)?Å, an inter-molecular C-H?Br hydrogen bond and an inter-molecular C-H?? inter-action are observed.

Project description:The title compound, C(68)H(56)O(16), was synthesized as a novel synthetic inter-mediate towards deeper and more elaborate resorcin[4]arene cavitands. The structure is the first reported example of a resorcin[4]arene cavitand bearing aromatic aldehyde functional groups at the extra-annular rim of the mol-ecule. The 2-formyl-phen-oxy residues are found to assume two different orientations above the mol-ecular cavity. One half of the resorcin[4]arene cavitand mol-ecule appears in the asymmetric unit; the complete resorcin[4]arene cavitand structure was generated across a mirror plane. In addition, a highly disordered ethyl acetate solvent mol-ecule is present within the mol-ecular cavity.
