[2,6-Bis(diphenyl-phosphan-yloxy)phenyl-?P,C,P']hydroxidonickel(II).

ABSTRACT: The mol-ecule of the title complex, [Ni(C(30)H(23)O(2)P(2))(OH)], adopts a slightly distorted square-planar geometry around Ni(II) defined by the coordination of the two mutually trans P atoms, the Csp(2) atom of the pincer ligand and the O atom of the hydroxide ligand. The largest distortions from ideal geometry are reflected in the smaller than usual P-Ni-P [163.95?(3)°] and P-Ni-C [82.06?(6)°] angles. The OH ligand does not form intra- or inter-molecular hydrogen bonds.

Project description:In the title complex, [Ni(C(30)H(23)O(2)P(2))I], the divalent Ni atom is coordinated by two P atoms and one C atom from the 1,3-bis-[(diphenyl-phosphan-yl)-oxy]benzene ligand; the distorted square-planar geometry is completed by an iodide ligand. The largest distortions from ideal square-planar geometry are reflected in the P-Ni-P angle of 164.20?(2)° and the P-Ni-C angles of 82.09?(6) and 82.11?(6)°. The rather short Ni-C bond length [1.890?(2)?Å] is anti-cipated in light of the much stronger trans influence of the aryl moiety compared to the iodide ligand. The P-bound phenyl rings adopt different orientations to minimize steric repulsion among themselves.

Project description:The title acesulfamate complex, [Pd(C(30)H(22)FO(2)P(2))(C(4)H(4)NO(4)S)], contains a four-coordinate Pd(II) ion with the expected, although relatively distorted, square-planar geometry where the four L-Pd-L angles range from 79.58 (8) to 102.47 (7)°. The acesulfamate ligand is N-bound to Pd [Pd-N = 2.127 (2) Å] with a dihedral angle of 76.35 (6)° relative to the square plane. Relatively long phen-yl-acesulfamate C-H⋯O and phen-yl-fluorine C-H⋯F inter-actions consolidate the crystal packing.

Project description:In the title mononuclear complex, [Pt(CH(3))Cl(C(45)H(41)N(3)P(2))], the pyridine-2,6-diamine ligand can be viewed as a centrosymmetric motif having two pendant N-benzyl-N-[(diphenyl-phosphan-yl)meth-yl] arms, the two P atoms of which chelate to the Pt(II) ion, forming a ten-membered metallocycle. A distorted square-planar coordination geometry around the Pt(II) atom is completed by a methyl ligand and a chloride ion. The packing between the mononuclear units is achieved through C-H?? inter-actions, which link the mol-ecules into chains along the c axis.

Project description:The mol-ecular structure of the title compound, trans-[Cu(C2H)Cl(C26H24P2)2], consists of an Ru(II) cation, located on an inversion centre, in an octa-hedral environment defined by two chelating phosphines, one acetyl-ide and one chloride ligand. The -C CH and the chlorine ligands are disordered over two equivalent positions (0.5 occupancy each). The coordination geometry is distorted octa-hedral, with the -C CH fragment and the Cl ligand in trans positions. The four P atoms occupy the equatorial plane of the octa-hedron and the chloride and acetyl-ide ligands the axial positions.

Project description:The title compound, [Ni(C(18)H(30)FO(2)P(2))(C(3)H(4)N(2))]PF(6), was prepared by halide abstraction with TlPF(6) in the presence of CH(3)CN in CDCl(3) from the respective neutral pincer chlorido analogue followed by addition of pyrazole. The PO-C-OP pincer ligand acts in typical trans-P(2) tridentate fashion to generate a distorted square-planar nickel structure. The Ni-N(pyrazole) distance is 1.925?(2)?Å and the plane of the pyrazole ligand is rotated 56.2?(1)° relative to the approximate square plane surrounding the Ni(II) center in which the pyrazole is bound to the Ni(II) atom through its sp(2)-hybridized N atom. This Ni-N distance is similar to bond lengths in the other reported Ni(II) pincer-ligand square-planar pyrazole complex structures; however, its dihedral angle is significantly larger than any of those for the latter set of pyrazole complexes.

Project description:In the title compound, [Fe(CH(3)CN)(3)(C(29)H(27)N(5)OP(2))](BF(4))(2)·2CH(3)CN, the Fe(II) ion is octa-hedrally coordinated by a meridionally chelating tridentate pincer-type PNP ligand derived from 2,6-diamino-4-eth-oxy-1,3,5-triazine and by three acetonitrile mol-ecules. The four Fe-N bond lengths range from 1.9142?(12) to 1.9579?(11)?Å, while the Fe-P bonds are 2.2452?(4) and 2.2506?(4)?Å [P-Fe-P = 165.523?(14)°], consistent with Fe(II) in a low-spin state. Unlike related Fe PNP complexes based on 2,6-diamino-pyridine, the BF(4) anions are not hydrogen bonded to the two NH groups of the pincer ligand but show instead anion-? inter-actions with the triazine ring and acetonitrile mol-ecules in addition to ten C-H?F inter-actions. Most remarkable among these is an anion-?(triazine) inter-action with a short distance of 2.788?(2)?Å between one F and the centroid of the ?-acidic triazine ring. The corresponding shortest distance between this F atom and a triazine carbon atom is 2.750?(2)?Å. The two NH groups of the pincer ligand donate N-H?N hydrogen bonds to the triazine N atom of a neighbouring complex and to an uncoordinated acetonitrile mol-ecule. This last mol-ecule is in a side-on head-to-tail association with the second uncoordinated acetonitrile at C?N distances of 3.467?(2) and 3.569?(2)?Å. In contrast to several related compounds with diamino-pyridine- instead of diamino-triazine-based PNP ligands, the title crystal structure is remarkably well ordered. This suggests that the diamino-triazine moiety exerts notable crystal structure stabilizing effects.

Project description:Facile ligand substitution is observed when the ruthenium chloride complex [Ru(?(5)-C(9)H(7))Cl(dppe)] (dppe is diphenylphosphanyl ethane) is treated with NaN(3) in refluxing ethanol, yielding the title compound, [Ru(?(5)-C(9)H(7))(N(3))(dppe)] or [Ru(C(9)H(7))(N(3))(C(26)H(24)P(2))]. The Ru(II) atom has a typical piano-stool coordination. The Ru-P bond lengths are 2.284?(2) and 2.235?(2)?Å. NMR and MS analyses are in agreement with the structure of the title compound.
