Poly[(?(6)-6-oxidopyridinium-2-carboxyl-ato)caesium].

ABSTRACT: The asymmetric unit of the polymeric title salt, [Cs(C(6)H(4)NO(3))](n), comprises a Cs(+) cation and a 6-oxidopyridinium-2-carboxyl-ate anion. The Cs(+) cation is six-coordinated by O atoms derived from two oxido and four carboxyl-ate O atoms; each O atom in the anion bridges two Cs(+) cations. In the crystal, inter-molecular N-H?O hydrogen bonding is present and contributes to the stability of the three-dimensional network generated by the bridging O atoms.

Project description:In the structure of the title complex, [Cs(C6H2Cl3N2O2)(H2O)] n , the caesium salt of the commercial herbicide picloram, the Cs(+) cation lies on a crystallographic mirror plane, which also contains the coordinating water mol-ecule and all non-H atoms of the 4-amino-3,5,6-trichloro-picolinate anion except the carboxyl-ate O-atom donors. The irregular CsCl4O5 coordination polyhedron comprises chlorine donors from the ortho-related ring substituents of the picloramate ligand in a bidentate chelate mode, with a third chlorine bridging [Cs-Cl range 3.6052?(11)-3.7151?(11)?Å] as well as a bidentate chelate carboxyl-ate group giving sheets extending parallel to (010). A three-dimensional coordination polymer structure is generated through the carboxyl-ate group, which also bridges the sheets down [010]. Within the structure, there are intra-unit water O-H?Ocarboxyl-ate and amine N-H?Npyridine hydrogen-bonding inter-actions.

Project description:In the polymeric complex of the title compound, {[AgNi(C(5)H(3)N(2)O(2))(2)(H(2)O)(2)]NO(3)·2H(2)O}(n), the Ag(I) ion displays an angular coordination geometry with two N atoms from pyrazine-2-carboxyl-ate ligands, and the Ni(II) ion is hexa-coordinated by two O atoms from two water mol-ecules, two O and two N atoms from pyrazine-2-carboxyl-ate ligands in a distorted octa-hedral geometry. In the crystal, the Ag(I) and Ni(II) ions lie on a mirror plane and an inversion centre, respectively. The complex chains, the nitrate ions and the uncoordinated water mol-ecules are linked together through O-H?O hydrogen bonds and weak Ag?O inter-actions [2.619?(17)-2.749?(17)?Å] into a three-dimensional network.

Project description:The polymeric structure of the title compound, [Pb(C(5)H(3)N(2)O(2))(2)(H(2)O)](n), is built up from centrosymmetric [Pb(C(5)H(3)N(2)O(2))(2)(H(2)O)](2) dimers, which are bridged by ligand carboxyl-ate O atoms. The Pb(II) ion adopts an irregular PbN(2)O(5) coordination polyhedron; it is chelated by one N,O-bidentate ligand and also bonds to a water O atom. A second N,O-bidentate ligand forms the dimer bridge and another bridging O atom from a nearby dimer also bonds to the Pb(II) ion, leading to layers propagating in (100). A network of O-H?O hydrogen bonds operates between water O atoms (donors) and carboxyl-ate O atoms (acceptors).

Project description:The structure of the title compound, [Li(C(5)H(3)N(2)O(2))(H(2)O)](n), contains an Li(I) ion with a distorted trigonal-bipyramidal coordination environment involving the N and O atoms of pyrazine-2-carboxyl-ate ligands with a bridging carboxyl-ate group, and two aqua O atoms also in a bridging mode. The symmetry-related Li(I) ions bridged by a carboxyl-ate O atom and a coordinating water O atom form an Li(2)O(2) unit with an Li?Li distance of 3.052?(4)?Å, which generates mol-ecular ribbons propagating in the c-axis direction. The ribbons are held together by a network of O-H?O hydrogen bonds in which the coordinating water mol-ecules act as donors and the carboxyl-ate O atoms as acceptors.

Project description:The three-dimensional title coordination polymer, {[Tb(2)(C(8)H(2)NO(6))(2)(H(2)O)(5)]·H(2)O}(n), was hydro-thermally synthesized by reacting the corresponding rare-earth salt with pyridine-2,4,6-tricarb-oxy-lic acid (H(3)ptc). There are two independent Tb(III) atoms in the structure, one of which is nine-coordinated, forming a monocapped NO(8) square-anti-prism and the other is eight-coordinated exhibiting a 4,4-bicapped NO(7) trigonal-prismatic environment. The complex units are inter-connected through the ptc(3-) anions acting in different coordination modes, resulting in a three-dimensional coordin-ation polymer. The crystal structure features extensive O-H?O hydrogen bonds.

One Sm(III) ion is nine-coordinated by one N and five O atoms from the three ptc ligands and three aqua ligands in a distorted monocapped square antiprismatic geometry, and the other is eight-coordinated by one N and five O atoms from three ptc ligands and two aqua ligands in a 4,4'-bicapped trigonal anti-prismatic geometry. The ptc ligands brigde the Sm(III) ions into a three-dimensional polymeric framework. Extensive O-H?O hydrogen bonding is observed in the crystal structure.

The Mn(3+) ions are bridged by anionic pyridine-2-carboxyl-ate (pic) ligands, thereby forming a chain-like structure along the c axis, and are six-coordinated in a distorted octa-hedral environment by two O atoms of the two different carboxyl-ate groups, two O atoms of two water mol-ecules and two Br atoms. Project description:The title compound, [Li2(C12H6O4)(H2O)2] n , crystallizes with one half of the molecular entities in the asymmetric unit. The second half is gererated by inversion symmetry. The crystal structure has a layered arrangement built from distorted edge-sharing LiO3(OH)2 tetra-hedra parallel to (100), with naphthalenedi-carboxyl-ate bridging the LiO3(OH)2 layers along the [100] direction. Hydrogen bonding between the water molecule and adjacent carboxylate groups consolidates the packing.
