The title compound, C(16)H(18)O(7), was prepared by the reaction of 2,2-dimethyl-1,3-dioxane-4,6-dione and 2,3,4-trimeth-oxy-benzaldehyde. The 1,3-dioxane ring is in a slightly distorted boat conformation. The crystal structure is stabilized by weak inter-molecular C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds. ...[more]
