ABSTRACT: In the title mol-ecule, C(9)H(7)N(7), the two triazole rings are twisted by an angle of 3.8?(5)°; the central triazole ring is twisted by 32.3?(6)° with respect to the pyridyl ring. The crystal packing consists of layers generated by inter-molecular N-H?N hydrogen bonds.

Project description:The title coordination polymer, [CdBr(2)(C(8)H(8)N(4))(2)](n), arose from a layer-separated diffusion synthesis at room temperature. The title compound is isotypic with the I and Cl analogues. The Cd atom, located on an inversion center, is coordinated by two bromide ions and four N atoms (two from triazole rings and two from pyridyl rings) in a distorted trans-CdBr(2)N(4) octa-hedral arrangement. The bridging 1-(4-pyridyl-meth-yl)-1H-1,2,4-triazole ligands are twisted [dihedral angle between the triazole and pyridine rings = 72.56?(13)°], affording a two-dimensional 4(4) sheet structure in the crystal.

5-Amino-3-(4H-1,2,4-triazol-4-yl)-1H-1,2,4-triazole.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C(4)H(5)N(7), comprises two independent but virtually superimposable mol-ecules. Each mol-ecule is planar with the dihedral angles between the five-membered rings being 2.8?(3) and 2.1?(3)°. The crystal structure is formed by an extensive network of relatively strong N-H?N hydrogen-bond inter-actions. Individual mol-ecules are arranged into supra-molecular zigzag chains running parallel to [001] by way of the strongest N-H?N inter-actions. Adjacent chains are inter-connected by rather long (D?A distances range from ca 3.00 to 3.03?Å) but highly directional (inter-action angles above ca 173°) hydrogen bonds forming a supra-molecular layer in the bc plane.

Project description:In the title compound, [ReBr(C13H10N4)(CO)3], the Re(I) atom has a distorted octa-hedral coordination environment. Two N atoms of the 5-phenyl-3-(pyridin-2-yl)-1H-1,2,4-triazole ligand and two of the three carbonyl groups occupy the equatorial plane of the complex, with the third carbonyl ligand and the bromide ligand in the axial positions. The three carbonyl ligands are arranged in a fac configuration around the Re(I) atom. Mutual N-H?Br hydrogen bonds arrange mol-ecules into centrosymmetric dimers. Additional stabilization within the crystal structure is provided by C-H?O and C-H?Br hydrogen bonds, as well as by slipped ?-? stacking inter-actions [centroid-to-centroid distance = 3.785?(5)?Å], defining a three-dimensional network.
