The Sn(IV) atom, located on a center of inversion, exists in an octa-hedral coordination environment. The cation links with the anion via weak C-H?Cl hydrogen bonding.

Project description:In the title compound, C(6)H(16)N(+)·C(15)H(13)N(2)O(2)S(2) (-), the thione S atom is in a cis configuration with respect to the phenyl and benzene rings, while it adopts a trans configuration with respect to the carbonyl group. The dihedral angle between the benzene and phenyl rings is 78.81?(2)°. The mol-ecular conformation is stabilized by intra-molecular O-H?O and N-H?S hydrogen bonds, while inter-molecular N-H?O, N-H?N and weak C-H?O inter-actions help to stabilize the crystal structure.

In the crystal, there are no identifiable directional inter-actions between cations and anions except for Coulombic forces.

The environment around the Sn(IV) atom is distorted octa-hedral. The anions are connected by the lattice water mol-ecule through O-H?O hydrogen bonds, leading to a layered structure parallel to (010). The cations are located between these layers and besides Coulombic forces are connected to the anionic layers through weak C-H?O and C-H?Cl inter-actions.

Crystal structure of non-centrosymmetric bis-(4-meth-oxy-benzyl-ammonium) tetra-chlorido-zincate.

Project description:The structure of the title non-centrosymmetric organic-inorganic hybrid salt, (C8H12NO)2[ZnCl4], consists of two 4-meth-oxy-benzyl-ammonium cations sandwiched between anionic layers, formed by isolated tetra-chlorido-zincate tetra-hedra. The double layers extend parallel to the ac plane. The crystal packing is assured by Coulombic inter-actions and by a complex N-H⋯Cl and C-H⋯Cl hydrogen-bonding system mostly involving the positively charged ammonium groups and the chloride ligands of the isolated tetra-hedral [ZnCl4](2-) units. One of the methyl-ene-ammonium groups is disordered over two sets of sites in a 0.48 (2):0.52 (2) ratio. The crystal investigated was twinned by non-merohedry with a twin component ratio of 0.738 (2):0.262 (2).

Project description:The title compound, (C(6)H(16)N)[Fe(3)(CH(3)CO(2))(8)O(H(2)O)]·C(7)H(8), was serendipitously crystallized from a reaction of disilanol with iron(II) acetate. The trinuclear acetatoferrate(III) anion has a triethyl-ammonium cation as the counterion. The three Fe atoms lie on the vertices of a regular triangle and are octa-hedrally coordinated. The complete coordination of the anion includes shared ligands among the three metal ions: a central tribridging O atom and six bidentate bridging acetyl groups. The six-coordinations of two of the metal ions are completed by a monodentate acetate ligand, whereas that of the third metal ion is completed by a water mol-ecule. The uncoordinated triethyl-ammonium cation is involved in N-H?O hydrogen bonding to a singly coordinated acetyl group. The coordinated aqua mol-ecule is involved in bifurcated O-H?O hydrogen bonding. C-H?O inter-actions are also observed. The toluene solvent molecule is disordered over two sets of sites in a 0.609?(11):0.391?(11) ratio.

Project description:The crystal structure of the title compound, (C(6)H(16)N)(2)[CoCl(4)], is comprised of a tetrahedral [CoCl(4)](2-) anion and two independent triethyl-ammonium cations. The latter are featureless while the [CoCl(4)](2-) anion exhibits typical Co-Cl bond lengths [2.2428?(15)-2.2847?(16)?Å] and a Cl-Co-Cl angular range of 107.58?(6)-112.73?(7)°. In the crystal, N-H?Cl hydrogen bonds between the two crystallographically independent cations and the [CoCl(4)](2-) anion generate discrete ion triplets. The two Co-Cl bonds involved in these inter-actions are slightly longer than the remaining two.
