In the title compound, C(17)H(14)O(6)S, the 2H-chromene ring is essentially planar, with a maximum deviation of 0.016 (1) Å. The dihedral angle between the 2H-chromene and the benzene rings is 54.61 (5)°. The C atom of the meth-oxy group is close to coplanar with its attached ring [deviation = 0.082 (2) Å]. In the crystal, mol-ecules are connected via C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, forming sheets lying parallel to the bc plane. Weak C-H⋯π inter-actions are also observed. ...[more]
