Diaqua-bis-{1-[(1H-benzimidazol-2-yl)meth-yl]-1H-1,2,4-triazole-?N}bis-(2,4,5-tricarb-oxy-benzoato-?O)cadmium dihydrate.

ABSTRACT: In the title complex, [Cd(C(10)H(5)O(8))(2)(C(10)H(9)N(5))(2)(H(2)O)(2)]·2H(2)O, the Cd(II) ion lies on an inversion center and is coordinated by two N atoms from two symmetry-related 1-[(1H-benzimidazol-2-yl)meth-yl]-1H-1,2,4-triazole ligands and two O atoms from two monodeprotonated 2,4,5-tricarb-oxy-benzoate anions in equatorial positions and by two water O atoms in axial positions, leading to a distorted octa-hedral environment. In the crystal, complex mol-ecules and solvent water mol-ecules are linked through inter-molecular O-H?O, O-H?N and N-H?O hydrogen bonds into a three-dimensional network. Intra-molecular O-H?O hydrogen bonds are also present.

Project description:In the title one-dimensional coordination polymer, {[Ni(CHO(2))(2)(C(20)H(14)N(4))(H(2)O)(2)]·2H(2)O}(n), the Ni(II) atom lies on a crystallographic inversion centre. It is coordinated by two formate O atoms, two water O atoms and two N atoms from two 1,4-bis-(1H-benzimidazol-1-yl)benzene (bzb) ligands, resulting in a distorted trans-NiN(2)O(4) octa-hedral coordination geometry. The bzb mol-ecule acts as a bridging ligand to connect the metal atoms into a chain propagating in [1[Formula: see text][Formula: see text]]. The dihedral angle between the benzimidazole ring and the central benzene ring in the ligand is 38.16 (9)°. In the crystal, O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds crosslink the chains into (010) sheets.

Project description:In the title compound, [Cu(C(14)H(9)N(2)O(2))(2)]·2H(2)O, the Cu(II) ion lies on a centre of symmetry and is four-coordinated by two N atoms and two O atoms from two 2-(1H-benzimidazol-2-yl)benzoate ligands in a square-planar environment. The benzimidazol and benzyl rings form a dihedral angle of 42.8?(5)°. The mol-ecule contains two H-bonded carboxyl O acceptors and two H-bonded N-H donors in the benzimidazol groups, which inter-act with two symmetry-related uncoordinated water mol-ecules so that neighboring mol-ecular units are linked by (O-H)(water)?O(carbox-yl) hydrogen bonds with an R(2) (4)(8) graph-set motif, generating a helical chain in the a-axis direction. These chains are, in turn, inter-connected by (N-H)(benzimidazol)?O(water) hydrogen bonds, forming a three-dimensional supra-molecular network.

Project description:In the title complex, bis-{?-1-[(1H-benzimidazol-1-yl)meth-yl]-1H-1,2,4-triazole}disilver(I) dinitrate, [Ag(2)(C(10)H(9)N(5))(2)](NO(3))(2), the Ag(I) ion is nearly linearly coordinated [N-Ag-N angle is 155.72?(14)°] by two 1-[(1H-benzimidazole-1-yl)meth-yl]-1H-1,2,4-triazole (bmt) ligands. In addition, two bmt ligands link two Ag(I) ions, forming a dinuclear unit with an Ag?Ag distance of 5.0179?(15)?Å. The whole complex is generated by an inversion centre. The dinuclear units and the NO(3) (-) counter-ions are connected by N-H?O hydrogen bonds and weak Ag?O inter-actions [2.831?(5), 2.887?(5) and 2.908?(5)?Å], leading to a three-dimensional structure.
