ABSTRACT: The title compound, trans-[RhCl(C(18)H(14)BrP)(2)(CO)], has a slightly disordered square-planar geometry with the Rh ion(I) situated on an inversion the centre and carbon-yl-chloride disorder observed as a result of the crystallographic inversion symmetry. Selected geometric parameters include: Rh-P = 2.3430?(8)?Å, Rh-Cl = 2.434?(3)?Å, Rh-C = 1.722?(8)?Å, P-Rh-P = 180.00?(3)°, P-Rh-Cl = 95.40?(7)°, 84.60?(7)° and Rh-C-O = 177.9?(8)°.

Project description:In the title compound, trans-[RhCl(C(20)H(17)P)(2)(CO)], the Rh(I) atom is situated on a center of symmetry, resulting in a statistical 1:1 disorder of the chloride [Rh-Cl = 2.383?(2)?Å] and carbonyl [Rh-C = 1.752?(7)?Å] ligands. The distorted trans square-planar environment is completed by two P atoms [Rh-P = 2.3251?(4)?Å] from two diphen-yl(4-vinyl-phen-yl)phosphane ligands. The vinyl group is disordered over two sets of sites in a 0.668?(10):0.332?(10) ratio. The crystal packing exhibits weak C-H?Cl and C-H?O hydrogen bonds and ?-? inter-actions between the phenyl rings of neighbouring mol-ecules, with a centroid-centroid distance of 3.682?(2)?Å.

Project description:In the title compound, [Rh(C(5)H(7)O(2))(C(18)H(14)BrP)(CO)], the Rh(I) atom adopts a slightly distorted square-planar geometry involving two O atoms [Rh-O = 2.077?(2) and 2.033?(2)?Å] of the acetyl-acetonate ligand, one carbonyl C atom [Rh-C = 1.813?(2)?Å] and one P atom [Rh-P = 2.242?(5)?Å] of the PPh(2)(2-BrC(6)H(4)) phosphane ligand. Difference electron density maps indicate a disorder of the Br atom over two positions in an approximate 0.95:0.05 ratio. However, this disorder could not be resolved satisfactorily with the present data.

Project description:The title compound, trans-[RhCl(C(18)H(12)Cl(3)P)(2)(CO)]·C(3)H(6)O, contains an Rh(I) atom in a distorted square-planar coordination with a P-Rh-P angle of 175.27?(2)° and Rh-P bond lengths of 2.3127?(4) and 2.3219?(4)?Å. The rhodium complexes link each other through weak inter-molecular contacts between the acetone methyl groups and the carbonyl O atom. Inter-actions between the acetone solvent mol-ecule and the Cl-Rh unit results in a reduced P-Rh-Cl angle of 86.675?(15)°.

Project description:The title complex, [RhCl(C(21)H(21)O(3)P)(2)(CO)], is a rhodium analogue to Vaska's complex with para-meth-oxy substituents on the six phosphan-yl-aryl units. Two independent mol-ecules are present in the unit cell, with their metal atoms both located on an inversion centre. This causes the chloride and carbonyl ligands to exhibit a positional disorder in a 0.5:0.5 ratio. The two Rh(I) atoms exhibit a distorted square-planar geometry. There are a few weak intra-molecular C-H?X inter-actions (X = O, Cl). Inter-estingly, no significant inter-molecular inter-actions are found between the two independent mol-ecules.

Project description:The title rhodium Vaska-type complex, trans-[RhCl{P(C(6)H(11))(2)(C(6)H(4)-4-C(3)H(7))(2)}(2)(CO)], crystallizes with an accompanying acetone solvent mol-ecule. The metal atom shows a distorted square-planar coordination environment with selected important geometrical parameters of Rh-P = 2.3237 (6) and 2.3253 (6) Å, Rh-Cl = 2.3724 (6) Å, Rh-C = 1.802 (2) Å, P-Rh-P = 173.42 (2)° and Cl-Rh-C = 179.13 (7)°. Effective cone angles for the two P atoms are 165 and 161°, respectively. Both isopropyl groups and the acetone mol-ecule are disordered with occupancy values of 0.523 (5):0.477 (5), 0.554 (8):0.446 (8) and 0.735 (4):0.265 (4), respectively. The crystal packing is stabilized by weak C-H⋯O and C-H⋯Cl contacts.

The Cr atom and two carbonyl groups are on a twofold axis. The benzene rings attached to the phospho-rus atom make dihedral angles of 80.32 (5), 52.91 (5) and 83.80 (5)° with each other. The -C CH and the chlorine ligands are disordered over two equivalent positions (0.5 occupancy each). The coordination geometry is distorted octa-hedral, with the -C CH fragment and the Cl ligand in trans positions.
