ABSTRACT: The title compound, C(13)H(11)BrN(2)O(2), consists of two six-membered rings linked by an amide group and adopts a near planar conformation. The dihedral angle between the two rings is 8.38?(11)°. In the crystal structure, there are intra- and inter-molecular N-H?O hydrogen bonds, the latter forming inversion dimers.

The benzene and pyridine rings make a dihedral angle of 86.2?(2)°. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked by inter-molecular N-H?N and C-H?O hydrogen bonds, forming a three-dimensional network. Project description:In the title 1-oxo-1,2-di-hydro-naphthalene derivatives, C28H24O6, (I), C34H22O5S, (II), and C27H20O3S2, (III), the cyclo-hexa-1,3-diene rings of the 1,2-di-hydro-naphthalene ring systems adopt half-chair, boat and half-chair conformations, respectively. The carbonyl O atoms attached to the di-hydro-naphthalene ring systems are each significantly deviated from the mean plane of the 1,2-di-hydro-naphthalene ring system, by 0.6162 (12) Å in (I), 0.6016 (16) Å in (II) and 0.515 (3) Å in (III). The mean planes of the 1,2-di-hydro-naphthalene ring systems make dihedral angles of 85.83 (3), 88.19 (3) and 81.67 (8)°, respectively, with the methyl-phenyl ring in (I), the pyrene ring in (II) and the phenyl ring in (III). In (I), the mol-ecular structure is stabilized by an intra-molecular C-H⋯O hydrogen bond, generating an S(6) ring motif. In the crystal of (I), mol-ecules are linked by an inter-molecular C-H⋯O hydrogen bond, which generates a C(8) zigzag chain running along [100]. Adjacent chains are further connected by C-H⋯π and offset π-π inter-actions [centroid-centroid distance = 3.6572 (9) Å], forming a double-chain structure. In the crystals of (II) and (III), mol-ecules are linked into chain structures by offset π-π inter-actions with centroid-centroid distances of 3.5349 (12) and 3.8845 (13) Å for (II) and 3.588 (2) Å for (III). In (II) and (III), the thio-phene rings are orientationally disordered over two sites, with occupancy ratios of 0.69:0.31 for (II), and 0.528 (4):0.472 (4) and 0.632 (5):0.368 (5) for (III).

Project description:In the title compound, C(15)H(12)BrN(3)O(2)S, the dihedral angle between the pyridine and benzene rings is 73.17?(19)°. The five-membered 1,3-thia-zolidine ring has an envelope conformation, with the S atom displaced by 0.196?(1)?Å from the mean plane of the four other ring atoms. An intra-molecular C-H?N inter-action occurs. The crystal structure is stabil-ized by inter-molecular N-H?O and C-H?O hydrogen bonds and C-H?? inter-actions. In addition, a weak ?-? stacking inter-action is also observed between the 1,3-thia-zolidine and pyridine rings [centroid-centroid distance = 3.805?(2)?Å].

Project description:In the title compound, C19H13BrN2O, the pyridine ring is essentially planar [maximum deviation = 0.024 (4) Å for the N atom] and makes dihedral angles of 74.6 (2) and 65.8 (2)°, respectively, with the phenyl and bromo-phenyl rings, which subtend a dihedral angle of 63.1 (2)°. In the crystal, mol-ecules are connected along the c-axis direction via C-Br⋯π inter-actions, generating zigzag chains parallel to the (010) plane. C-H⋯N and C-H⋯O hydrogen-bonding inter-actions further connect the mol-ecules, forming a three-dimensional network and reinforcing the mol-ecular packing. Hirshfeld surface analysis indicates that the most important contributions to the crystal packing are from H⋯H (36.2%), C⋯H/H⋯C (21.6%), N⋯H/H⋯N (12.2%), and Br⋯H/H⋯Br (10.8%) inter-actions.

Project description:In the title compound, C(17)H(17)Cl(2)NO(2), the central 1,4-dihydro-pyridine ring adopts a flattened-boat conformation. The ethanone substituents of the dihydro-pyridine ring at positions 3 and 5 have synperiplanar (cis) or anti-periplanar (trans) conformations with respect to the adjacent C=C bonds in the dihydro-pyridine ring. The 2,4-dichloro-phenyl ring is almost planar [r.m.s. deviation = 0.0045 (1) Å] and almost perpendicular [89.27 (3)°] to the mean plane of the dihydro-pyridine ring. In the crystal, an N-H⋯O hydrogen bond links mol-ecules into a zigzag chain along the ac diagonal. C-H⋯Cl contacts form centrosymmetric dimers and additional weak C-H⋯O contacts further consolidate the packing.

The 4-(meth-oxy-carbon-yl)phenyl group shows a quasi-planar conformation, where the dihedral angle between the mean planes of the phenyl ring and carboxyl-ate ester group is 7.9?(4)°. Centrosymmetric inter-molecular N-H?O hydrogen bonds form dimers. These are linked by C-Br?O=C inter-actions [Br?O = 3.10?(1)?Å] to form a one-dimensional polymeric structure running along the [1[Formula: see text]0] direction.

Project description:In 2-amino-4-(4-bromo-phen-yl)-6-oxo-1-phenyl-1,4,5,6-tetra-hydro-pyridine-3-carbo-nitrile hemihydrate, C18H14BrN3O·0.5H2O, (I), pairs of mol-ecules are linked by pairs of N-H⋯N hydrogen bonds, forming dimers with an R 2 2(12) ring motif. The dimers are connected by N-H⋯Br and O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, and C-Br⋯π inter-actions, forming layers parallel to the (010) plane. 1,6-Di-amino-2-oxo-4-phenyl-1,2-di-hydro-pyridine-3,5-dicarbo-nitrile, C13H9N5O, (II), crystallizes in the triclinic space group P with two independent mol-ecules (IIA and IIB) in the asymmetric unit. In the crystal of (II), mol-ecules IIA and IIB are linked by inter-molecular N-H⋯N and N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds into layers parallel to (001). These layers are connected along the c-axis direction by weak C-H⋯N contacts. C-H⋯π and C-N⋯π inter-actions connect adjacent mol-ecules, forming chains along the a-axis direction. In (I) and (II), the stability of the packing is ensured by van der Waals inter-actions between the layers. In (I), Hirshfeld surface analysis showed that the most important contributions to the crystal packing are from H⋯H (37.9%), C⋯H/H⋯C (18.4%), Br⋯H/H⋯Br (13.3%), N⋯H/H⋯N (11.5%) and O⋯H/H⋯O (10.0%) inter-actions, while in (II), H⋯H inter-actions are the most significant contributors to the crystal packing (27.6% for mol-ecule IIA and 23.1% for mol-ecule IIB).

Project description:The title compound, C20H17F3N2O4, named tasquinimod, is a second-generation oral quinoline-3-carboxamide analogue, which is currently in phase III clinical trials for the treatment of metastatic prostate cancer. The quinoline unit is almost planar (r.m.s. deviation of fitted atoms = 0.0075 Å). The carboxamide side chain, substituted at position 3, is tilted by 88.07 (7)° to the quinoline plane. Both the methyl and carbonyl groups of this carboxamide side chain are in a syn conformation. The 4-(tri-fluoro-meth-yl)phenyl plane is inclined at 50.62 (17)° to the plane of the carboxamide side chain, and at 87.14 (4)° to the plane of the quinoline ring system. The 4-hy-droxy H atom acts as a double proton donor in an intra-molecular hydrogen bond to the 5-position meth-oxy O atom and in an inter-molecular contact to the 2-oxo group, generating a chain along [010] in the crystal structure.
