ABSTRACT: In the title compound, (C(7)H(7)N(2)S)(2)[Ni(C(8)H(8)O(5))(2)]·6H(2)O, the Ni(II) cation is located on an inversion center and is O,O',O''-chelated by two symmetry-related 7-oxabicyclo-[2.2.1]heptane-2,3-dicarboxyl-ate anions in a distorted octa-hedral geometry. The 2-amino-benzothia-zol-3-ium cation links with the Ni complex anion via N-H?O hydrogen bonding. Extensive O-H?O and N-H?O hydrogen bonds involving the lattice water mol-ecules also occur in the crystal structure.

In the crystal, the components are linked by N-H?O(a), N-H?O(w), O(w)-H?O(a) and O(w)-H?O(w) hydrogen bonds (w = water and a = anion).

The Co(II) atom is situated on an inversion centre and exhibits a slightly distorted octa-hedral CoO(6) coordination defined by the bridging O atoms of the bicyclo-heptane unit and four carboxyl-ate O atoms of two symmetry-related and fully deprotonated ligands. The crystal packing is stabilized by N-H?O hydrogen bonds between the cations and anions and by O-H?O hydrogen bonds including the crystal water mol-ecules.

Project description:The title compound, [Cd(C(8)H(8)O(5))(C(3)H(4)N(2))(2)](n), was synthesized by the reaction of 7-oxabicyclo-[2.2.1]heptane-2,3-dicarboxylic anhydride, cadmium acetate and imidazole. The Cd(II) atom is seven-coordinated in a distorted penta-gonal-bipyramidal configuration by five O atoms from carboxyl-ate groups of three 7-oxabicyclo-[2.2.1]heptane-2,3-dicarboxylate ligands and two N atoms from two imidazole ligands. The crystal structure is stabilized by N-H?O and C-H?O hydrogen-bonding and C-H?? inter-actions.

Project description:The title compound, (C(3)H(7)N(6))(2)[Co(H(2)O)(6)][Co(C(7)H(3)NO(4))(2)](2)·4H(2)O, or (tataH)(2)[Co(H(2)O)(6)][Co(pydc)(2)](2)·4H(2)O (where tata is 2,4,6-triamino-1,3,5-triazine and pydc is pyridine-2,6-dicarboxylic acid), was obtained by reaction of Co(NO(3))(2)·6H(2)O with the proton-transfer compound (tataH)(2)(pydc) in aqueous solution. The [Co(pydc)(2)](2-) anion is a six-coordinate Co(II) complex with a distorted octa-hedral coordination geometry. The structure also contains hexa-aqua-cobalt(II) cations (site symmetry ), (tataH)(+) cations and uncoordinated water mol-ecules. The two(pydc)(2-) ligands in each [Co(pydc)(2)](2-) anion are almost perpendicular to each other [dihedral angle between their mean planes = 82.3 (1)°]. There is extensive O-H⋯O, N-H⋯N, O-H⋯N and C-H⋯O hydrogen bonding in the structure, as well as π-π stacking between (pydc)(2-) ligands with an inter-planar distance of 3.484 (15) Å.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, (C(7)H(7)N(2)S)(2)[ZnCl(4)], contains a network of 2-amino-benzothia-zolium cations and tetra-hedral [ZnCl(4)](2-) anions. The crystal packing is influenced by cation-to-anion N-H?Cl and C-H?Cl hydrogen bonds. The [ZnCl(4)](2-) anions have a distorded tetra-hedral geometry. Inter-molecular ?-? stacking inter-actions are present between neighboring benzene rings, thia-zole and benzene rings and neighboring thia-zole rings [centroid-centroid distances = 3.711?(2), 3.554?(1), 3.536?(2) and 3.572?(1)?Å].

Project description:The title polymer, [Zn(3)(C(8)H(8)O(5))(2)(C(3)H(3)N(2))(2)(C(3)H(4)N(2))(2)](n), was formed by the reaction of zinc acetate with imidazole and 7-oxabicyclo-[2.2.1]heptane-2,3-dicarboxylic anhydride (norcan-tharidine). One of the two crystallographically unique Zn(II) atoms is four-coordinated by three N atoms of three imidazole ligands, two of which are deprotonated, and by one carboxyl-ate O atom of the demethyl-cantharate anion. The second Zn(II) atom is situated on an inversion centre and is six-coordinated by the bridging O atoms of two symmetry-related demethyl-cantharate anions and by four carboxyl-ate O atoms of the corresponding carboxyl-ate groups. The polymeric crystal structure is additionally stabilized by N-H?O hydrogen bonding between the imidazole ligands and carboxyl-ate O atoms.

Project description:The reaction of copper(II) nitrate hexa-hydrate with pyridine-2,6-dicarboxylic acid (pydcH(2)) and 2,4,6-triamino-1,3,5-triazine (melamine) in aqueous solution in a 1:2:2 molar ratio gave the title compound, (H(5)O(2))(C(3)H(7)N(6))(3)[Cu(C(7)H(3)NO(4))(2)](2)·C(7)H(5)NO(4)·6H(2)O. The hydroxonium hydrate (H(5)O(2))(+), also known as the Zundel cation, resides on a twofold rotation axis. The O-H distance is 1.274?(14)?Å, the O?O distance is 2.518?(5)?Å, and the O-H-O angle is 162?(8)°. One of the melamine H(+) cations, the uncoordinated pydcH(2), and two water mol-ecules also reside on crystallographic twofold axes. The Cu(II) atom has a tetra-gonally distorted octa-hedral coordination environment. The structure features extensive hydrogen bonding, with 21 distinct inter-actions. There is also a centrosymmetric C=O?? inter-action with an O?centroid distance of 3.288?(3)?Å. The structure is similar to a mixed-valence manganese(II/III) structure but shows inter-esting differences in the metal-atom coordination. One of the water molecules is equally disordered with respect to a twofold axis.
