The mesenchymal stromal cells (MSCs) are reported to be immunoprivileged and osteogenic. We hypothesized that the use of allogeneic MSCs for bone repair was possible if they displayed an ability to induce similar osteogenesis in syngeneic as well as in allogeneic hosts.
