ABSTRACT: The asymmetric unit of the racemic title compound, C(10)H(16)N(2)S(2), a C(2)-symmetric bis-(thiol-actam), contains one half-mol-ecule, the complete mol-ecule being generated by a twofold axis symmetry operation. The five-membered ring is nearly planar, with a maximum deviation of 0.025?(1)?Å. In the crystal, the mol-ecules are linked via weak C-H?S inter-actions, forming infinite chains along the b-axis direction.

The two imidazole rings are each planar (r.m.s. deviations = 0.0016 and 0.0060?Å) and make a dihedral angle of 45.3?(18)°. Intra-molecular O-H?F hydrogen bonds occur. Inter-molecular C-H?F, O-H?O and C-H?O hydrogen bonds stabilize the crystal structure.

Project description:In the structure of the title compound, C(26)H(22)N(4)O(3)·2C(3)H(7)NO, one of the DMF solvent mol-ecules is disordered over two sets of positions in a 0.5:0.5 ratio. In the 1,1'-[2,2'-oxybis(2,1-phenyl-ene)]bis-(3-phenyl-urea) mol-ecule, the two diphenyl-urea segments are linked via an ether O atom and are inclined at an angle of 53.80 (4)° to one another. In the crystal structure, classical N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds link each mol-ecule to two DMF solvent mol-ecules and these aggregates form columns down a through C-H⋯π inter-actions. Additional C-H⋯O inter-actions link the main mol-ecule and the solvent mol-ecules, forming columns of independent zigzag chains along b.

Project description:The title compound, C(20)H(22)N(6) (2+)·2PF(6) (-), was prepared by the reaction of 5,5'-bis-(bromo-meth-yl)-2,2'-bipyridine with 1-methyl-imidazole. The main mol-ecule lies on an inversion center located at the mid-point of the C-C bond joining the two pyridine rings. The asymmetric unit therefore contains one half-mol-ecule and one hexa-fluoro-phosphate anion. The dihedral angle between the pyridine and imidazole rings is 76.93 (7)°. In the crystal, weak inter-molecular C-H⋯F hydrogen bonds contribute to the stabilization of the packing.

Thus, the asymmetric unit comprises one half-mol-ecule. The planarity of the stannacyclo-penta-diene ring is illustrated by the dihedral angle of 0.3 (1)°, defined by the C(4) and C-Sn-C planes. To avoid steric repulsion, the two stannole rings are oriented in an anti fashion through the Sn-Sn bond. These structural features are similar to those of other bis-tannoles.
